Kyle Korver?

Looks like the Bulls are looking to move Kyle Korver... now... to make some cap space... how about trading someone cheap or a future second round draft pick for him. He is in his final contract year, he can play the SF, but I have not been following his game... but last time I checked, he shot about 43% from the three... (compare that to Salmons 30% from 3)

Not sure the Kings would want him... any thoughts?

we could sure use the shooting. is he any good at defense?

Well it certainly isn't his calling card, but it isn't something so bad that teams will look to exploit it time and time again. I find that all shooters who are good at moving off the ball are fairly proficient at guarding fellow shooters, because they know the tricks the offensive player would use to run his defender off of screens and stuff.

I could live with a KK/T-will Platoon at the SF position. It sure as hell would beat anything we've had at the position for a long time

I don't know. The Kings could trade for Korver and give back NO salary... Bulls might like that.

I like Korver. Great shooter, spotting up, or coming off screens. He's a career 43% 3pt shooter. He knows how to move without the ball and space the floor. He's on the wrong side of 30, but should have 3 to 4 good years left in him. He plays decent to good defense, and you can be sure of one thing, he always gives 100%. I've never looked at him as a starter, but thats because he's never nailed down that role. He's averaged around 22 minutes a game for his career. Having said that, he would be better than anyone we have on the team. At the SF position of course.

He could certainly teach Jimmer a thing or two about running off screens and being in constant motion.

Don't know if you saw Jimmer play at BYU, but most of his game was moving without the ball and coming off screens. Thats when he didn't have the ball in his hands of course. I think last season he was just doing what the team wanted him to do, and that was go to a spot and wait for the ball if he became open. That wasn't his game at BYU. When you play within a system, that doesn't mean thats all your capable of. Remember, no one knew that Cuz was such a good jumpshooter and passer because of how he was used in the system at Kentucky.

I only saw Jimmer in the tournament so admittedly a very limited scope on what he did in college.

lets be honest our offense was pretty stagnant last season all round so I'm not singling him out, just know with his shooting skill it'd be great to see him in motion like Korver.

Korver just traded to Atlanta. Possibly a sign and trade for Hinrich.

Sure am glad we are being so aggressive as all these potentially useful players fly back and forth across the NBA.

But other NBA teams are being silly. We are pateintly biding our time, plotting for the moment the next John Salmons is foolishly left dangling by a team which does not recognize undervalued talents the way we do. JRich for instance has a nearly perfect combination of bad contract and failing production. We're going to own the back half of the summer baby!
