KT for Gadzuric

This trade has been suggested any number of times, but with Gadzuric still not getting minutes and Milwaukee lacking a true power forward (Villanueva is really a small forward), why not?

The Kings would have a backup center who actually rebounds and blocks shots, the Bucks would get a power forward. The contracts are almost identical.
 
I really want it! Sounds good.

But in that case we'll have no reserve for PF.

Williamson?

ps : Anyway, maybe it's only past. But we had rumor on Bonzi Wells <-> Sarunas + Foster. I really missed that.
 
The problem, of course, is that even after this trade the Bucks would still be lacking a true power forward, but... maybe they're desperate?
 
Heck yeah, I'd go for it. I could never get excited about Gadzuric due to his bad FT shooting, but in this context it wouldn't bother me anymore.

In Musselman's shoes, I might even consider starting him at C and Brad at PF, then swapping him out for the quarter by the time the opposing team was in the penalty. You can't get hurt by bad FT shooting when hardly anybody's getting to shoot any yet.
 
I wouldn't mind this that much, but I would be a little bit concerned with Taylor as the 3rd big in the rotation.
 
No one in the NBA wants KT on their team...remember when we used to say Webber was untradeable? Imagine if Webber was 4 inches shorter, didn't pass as well, didn't have the same shooting range or ability, wasn't as long or have the same size, and basically refused to play if he didn't start. Now you're starting to get into the Kenny Thomas zone, in fact the amount of time left on Thomas's contract may be longer than the time left on Webbers when we traded him.

Although the KT for.... threads make me smile just thinking of him in another teams colors im pretty sure we're gonna have to get used to seeing him don the purple and black for the next half decade... This all feels so familiar in a Ralph Sampson sort of way...except KT can walk and be mildly useful (only when he starts cause he's a starter damnit!)
 
Actually the talk I have heard has the Bucks interested in Kenny for a long time. Before he re-signed with Philly, the Bucks wanted him.

And of course the deal that almost went down last year with Kenny going to the Bucks and Desmond Mason coming to the Kings before the Magloire trade shows they at least had interest.

Believe it or not though, Kenny is a pretty good player and does things that we absolutely need. Everybody in this league is tradable.

Interesting idea. But our approval won't get it done.
 
I'd of course do it instantly. But I sincerely doubt the Bucks would. Villanueva was brought in to be their big minute PF, and I suspect the last thing they would want or need is Mr. Grump pouting away on the bench while playing 18mpg.

The teams I could see as realistic targets with needs might be the Nets -- like to run, and have NOTHING at PF, the Rockets -- will play Battier out of position a lot this year, but all you have to know is he's a bad rebounder at SF and grabbed all of 1 in their opener to understand the problem there, and maybe a team like Boston if they decide to get Pierce veteran help rather than wait on their never developing kids. Of course the flipside problem being what the hell do those teams have that WE want/need, and that they would possibly get rid of for the honor of having KT on the roster?

The amazing thing being that those deals actually manage to make us even WORSE on the glass, furthering our collection of the league's very weakest "big" man rebounders. Robinson is terrible on the glass. Collins ditto. Ratliff ditto ditto. Beggars can't be choosers, but are we THAT desperate to dump KT? And if we did for those guys, would we become the first team in NBA history to mange to avoid grabbing a single rebound some night? :eek:

ersan is a nice, smart, young player. he is 22 and has shown to be more mature than his age would suggest, in the world championships he has participated this last summer. i doubt the bucks package him and gadzuric just to get kt back.

Then again, so far this team looks like it may not need Kenny's rebounding as much as it used to with Ron "Round Mound of Rebound Pt. 2" Artest. ;)
 
Has anyone else read about the rumors of Denver trying to trade for Corey Maggette?

According to the L.A. Times, the Nuggets are willing to include J.R. Smith in a possible trade along with Joe Smith.

What does this have to do with the Kings and Kenny Thomas? I would not mind a three team trade or perhaps a four team trade that would also include the Nets. Both trades check out with ESPN's Trade Machine. If someone can think of a better idea that would work for all the teams involved, please feel free to post it.
