Welcome, fellow Kings fans!
It's a crazy day up here in the forest. We've had rain, we've had a bit of "snow-like" substance (although it's too warm to actually snow), we've had low clouds (aka fog), we've had thunder and lightning and pea-sized hail. (Why is the size of hail already referred to in terms of something else? Isn't there just hail-sized hail?...Oops, sorry. I digree.) The power has flickered and the mounds of hail on my satellite dish actually made it necessary for me to walk outside and clean it.
There's good news from the snow measuring people. Our level is way up and because it's late in the season, when it does melt it won't just go down the river and out to sea. There's enough room in the reservoirs to absorb it all, which will mean a great year of boating at places like Folsom Lake.

Here's what the Bee has to say about tonight's game:

KINGS UPDATE
Status: The home string of success is over for now, stopped at 14 games by Golden State on Sunday after the Kings zombied their way through three-plus quarters. It didn't help that the Kings missed 19 three-point shots or that they shot 36 percent overall, or that they let Adonal Foyle look like an All-Star center.
Trend: If the Kings expect to hold onto the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference, they have to win games like this, especially with the Wizards having played Monday night. For whatever reason, the Kings are allowing people to take it right to the rim again.
Injury report: Kevin Martin, thigh, questionable.
WIZARDS UPDATE
Status: Washington also has playoff hopes again, and the Wizards will get there barring a collapse. The Wizards downed the Kings 117-107 on March 5 in Washington when Antawn Jamison scored 31 to offset Ron Artest's 30.
Trend: With Gilbert Arenas (28.9 points per game), Jamison (20.4) and Caron Butler (17.2), the Wizards have the most prolific trio in the NBA this season. Arenas has been superb, with eight 40-point outings this season.
Injury report: Jarvis Hayes, leg, out.
Best matchup: Jamison vs. Artest - Jamison also will draw a lot of Kenny Thomas, who will force Jamison to guard him around the basket. But if Jamison gets hot, it could be Artest time.
-----------------------------------------------------------
At this point, we have to wonder which team will come out of the tunnel tonight. Will it be the confident team that had strung together an impressive number of consecutive wins at Arco or will it be the team that just looked out-of-synch and fatigued?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I've got all my lucky icons properly positioned, and I'm thinking good thoughts! We need this game tonight...
I'm back to Gevalia French Vanilla coffee for this evening, and I'm simmering a pot roast for dinner. I have ONE Corona chilling in the refrigerator and I hope I'll be opening it after the game.
