Just some defense please.

I don't think Cousins looks disinterested. He just doesn't have enough lift off his feet.

The entire team is missing gimmies at the rim.

A majority of Gortats points are coming from Cuz having to pick up the guards man on penetration.....not all but a majority. But I'm perplexed at the disinterested talk of Cuz. People want him to be calm and when he's calm and not reacting, he's disinterested. When he plays with emotion, he's a head case and it brings the team down. WTF.

Maybe they want Cousins to be like The Price is Right: who can guess highest, without going over. Or something.

What happened to the real Demarcus Cousins? That dude is MIA. He used to own Gortat. It was like a given 30 point game for him. Now he just drops his head down, runs the court slowly, takes a poor shot, and then gets schooled again. It's infuriating to watch. There's 3 possibilities (in no particular order):
1. Out of shape - definitely some truth to this
2. Injuries - not fully recovered?
3. Does not care?

A real coach would tell Cousins to get in the post and f******* stay there. Damn, I miss Malone. Cousin's best season (in all stats and in regards to shape) was last year. This year, he is playing so much out on the perimeter that its amazing he averages what he averages. Pure talent saves him alone, but definitely not close to anything last year.
