Great lin tonight.
That was close. I guess it's a good thing Kevin's anti-clucth, well, maybe not in the long run.
Sorry, but I have to question why you wouldn't want Garcia here long term. We aren't going to suck this bad next year. It's not gonna happen. Garcia could and should be part of the future, IMHO...
Why?We need to win at some point...
0-26
That was a very tough shot and it almost fell. Saying Kevin is anti-clutch is just not accurate in this situation. but of course, it's always good to dump on Kevin so I should just shut up and let it happen, right?

Why?
Because nobody likes to lose.Why?
Wouldnt it have been 105-105 if it were a three? It really doesn't matter if it was a three. We'd still be down by one. What we have to hope for is that the Wizards defense is able to block a shot... or force a miss... and I don't have any confidence in them to do either.

Unfortunately I expect a win here, but let's be clear about the significance of this one:
we are 14-51
the Wizards are 15-51
We have already lost to them once this season.
If we win: both teams are 15-51, not sure who will get the tiebreaker (we will be 1-1 on the season so it will go to the second breaker). They could very well pass us for last place.
If we lose: we are 14-52, they are 16-51 AND they will have beat us in both games this season. So if we lose, we are basically THREE games behind them with 16 to play (if both teams finish wiht 16 wins or whatever, we still finsih behidn them) . Its almost too much to hope for given how we have been playing, but a loss here could give us a huge leg up (or down) on that worst record chase.
It wouldn't matter since subsequent to that we fouled the Wizards and put them at the line. They got one of two, so even if the score had been 105-105 because of the three, it would have been 106-105 after the free throws.
Did you read the rest of my post? If you've ever played sports you should know the emotional toll it takes on players losing in the last seconds of games...it kills. I just don't want to see that happening to our guys every single game for the rest of the season. I want to let them be happy once or twice.
We probably wouldn't have fouled him if it were a three, they wouldve just had the last second shot. And in all likely hood they probably would have won anyway.
WASHINGTON -- On a night when everyone was preoccupied with the NCAA tournament, the Washington Wizards and Sacramento Kings played a game best described as the NBA's version of the NIT.
Tell you what -- if the Kings can lose every single game between now and the game vs. the Lakers on April 7th, I will relent and say they have earned themsleves a happy moment for that night.![]()
Sorry, I have to challenge this statement:You're playing what if and trying to rewrite the scenario to meet your needs. I'm merely stating a fact. And I think you're totally wrong, BTW, about us not fouling and putting the Wizards at the line. There's NO WAY you give them an uncontested chance to win the game and run out the clock. You put them at the line and hope you can at least have a chance, which we did.

But why would you put them on the line rather than play defense for three seconds and take your chances in overtime? Or was your statement rather meant to be an indictment of the Kings' defense? That you have no faith in our ability to get a stop in three seconds, with the game on the line?I believe I explained myself. They would have had the ball with seconds left on the clock. They could easily have run it down and scored, thus winning the game. Instead, we fouled and put them on the line to give ourselves a final chance. Whether the score was 105-105 at that point or 105-104 was pretty much irrelevant as far as what happened after that. If you disagree, then we'll simply agree that we see it differently.
