Okay, fellow NBA fans! This could be the suckfest of the century! Talk about two teams with a real reason to battle!

:p

As Gavin would say, "Let's go Kings!"

Unfortunately I expect a win here, but let's be clear about the significance of this one:

we are 14-51

the Wizards are 15-51

We have already lost to them once this season.

If we win: both teams are 15-51, not sure who will get the tiebreaker (we will be 1-1 on the season so it will go to the second breaker). They could very well pass us for last place.

If we lose: we are 14-52, they are 16-51 AND they will have beat us in both games this season. So if we lose, we are basically THREE games behind them with 16 to play (if both teams finish wiht 16 wins or whatever, we still finsih behidn them) . Its almost too much to hope for given how we have been playing, but a loss here could give us a huge leg up (or down) on that worst record chase.

Yeah this just might be the most important game left on our schedule. Unfortunately, I also think we're gonna win this one, and I think this may be the only game we win against the East this year.

If I understand the current lottery rules correctly, in the event of a tie between the bottom 2 teams, the two teams split the pingpong balls for (1st + 2nd), and if there's one pingpong ball left over they do a coin flip for it. They'd also do a coin flip to decide which team gets the first pick of the second round. For most lottery teams, the difference between sole occupation of a position and tie for that same position = about 20% of their pingpong balls. So that is something we really do NOT want to do.

Let's see a well-played lin!

Those are the worst kinds of stats. We are 0-25 against teams from the East NOT currently battling us for the bottom of the barrel, league standings wise. It's just the kind of record we might end up breaking.

It's also on their home court so that gives them even more of an advantage. I'm thinking it's going to be a very close game and I'm guessing a loss.

Yeah, we're 4-28 on the road, and they're 10-24 at home. Obviously, the odds favor both teams losing, but the Kings losing more thoroughly.

For fear of jinxing us into a woss, I'll leave it at that. No predictions today.

Well, I think we should see Caron's boo-boo and raise it with a non-displaced finger by Garcia that suddenly and inexplicitably has swollen up to the size of a cucumber AND mysterious ailment with flu-like symptoms by Hawes.

So there, Washington! We may have just gotten into town but we aren't totally without resources of our own.

;)

Oh wait...according to Grant we're getting a player back and losing a player. That means good ol' Beno is suited up, more than likely.

I don't see Bobby Jackson behind Grant and Jerry warming up, so we could have traded Beno for Bobby. Take that, Wizards!!!

finally I can watch a Kings game and it is against the Wizards.

excellent start - too bad there is still so much to play. We need this lin so bad.

I've always liked Darius Songaila. I think he would be a fitting recipient for the TDM. Come on, Darius! You can do it!!!

;)

So how obvious does Natt make it? Does he sub Nocioni out for Beno this early? Is Kenny Thomas suited up?

45-36 Wizards with 6:47 left? We're losing that badly to a depleted Wizards team? If they had visions of tanking tonight's game, they've seriously underestimated our ability to thwart their best efforts...

GREAT shot by McGee could just give the Wizards enough momentum and energy to win.

I am becoming more impressed every game with Spencer's all around versatility. Over the last 10 games he has really stepped it up and is showing the potential to one day really dominate a game.

Looks like Beno hasn't changed - still able to lose the ball in traffic...or all alone in the middle of the court. I like Beno, but his ability to make unforced errors really tries my patience. Of course, this year it could be one of the things that keeps us in the running.

:p

I know...and think of all the people that wanted to trade him or Jason this year...I really hope we give them a few years together to gel before we replace or bench them for someone better. Starting so young they really have a chance to be the best big man combo in the league in a couple years. If they both just keep growing towards their potentials watch out.

and Martin yells "nice pass Beno" as he drains the last 3.
Meanwhile the just back from injury Udrih in 20 mins has scored 9pts on 4-6 FG, 1 three, 4 assists, 1 RB, 1 TO. Not bad and definitely reason the Kings offense has flowed better with him as the teams point guard.
