I think a healthy KMart adds a few wins. Tyreke starting at point adds a few. So does having an experienced coaching staff capable of teaching our young guys and implementing a system that should work. The growth of Jt and Hawes(JT I'm excited about), should add a few more wins. Of course any injuries to a key player(s) could kill all momentum dead in its tracks.

My guess is 30-35, and thats best case scenario, if we don't have any major injuries and the young guys keep developing. I think last years team would have won 4-5 more games if Kevin was healthy, and maybe a couple more if we actually had a coach capable of leading an nba team.

Even if we don't get to 30 wins, I'll be happy if the guys are competitive, playing hard on a nightly basis, and the young guys continue to show improvement.

I'm thinking 24-25 wins, I think we'll have a slow start just because there's so much youth and new players. But hopefully Westphal will have them playing well together come springtime.

I'm hoping for a bigger improvement in 2010-2011 when we have a more experienced team and maybe a good free agent signing from the summer.

I want to believe that Udrih will have a bounce-back season, and Evans will score 15 points a game without reducing Martin's ppg to under 20.

But Hawes' health is the key this season. Will he be healthy and fit enough to hustle on the defensive glass.
It was either them or the Pheonix Suns tem that was stacked about 5 years ago that failed to make the playoffs in the previous season.

33 wins it will be. The reports were that the Blazers were going to a zone if Reke had the ball. This should bode well for KMart, Cisco and Noc as all can hit the 3. I also think Brock and Omri will end up in the rotation and contribute.

But wins aside I hope to see the return of the Arco swagger!!!!:D

Kings will be hard pressed to win more than 30 games this season due to their lack of experience, lack of passing, and lack of true size up front. I do expect the defense and rebounding to be improved, as well as the late game management. Give them a couple years, and then they'll start to increase that total, but the rebuild looks to be a 3 year plan...

we lack the size up front but were going to make teams pay at the back court with reke and martin..i mean were not really THAT small in the front court JT and hawes? strength wise probably but I dont see any other bigs that would stray off the paint to guard hawes with jump shots.. not something we want from our center yes. but what ever works for the W and to bring back that old kings swagger

I think we fall in the 21-25 range, but we could end up in the 26-30 range if Evans lives up to the hype and either Hawes or JT significantly step up their game.

Less than 20 games. Our front court will get punked every night because our best post defenders are the same height as other teams' small forwards. Not going to expect much.

21-25

I just do not see us improving that much, but honestly I am not really looking for a lot of wins this season as much as I am looking for some player development. The key for us is not to win right now, but to acquire the necessary pieces to win in the future. I hope that the future is sooner than later because I do not want to wait much longer for some exciting KINGS BASKETBALL!!!!!!

26-30 wins would be an amazing feat and I would then give the Kings a standing ovation for doing so, but I just do not see it happening right now.

I will make another prediction that I do honestly believe has a really good chance of coming true...........

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: TY-REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKE EVANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having reviewed my last year's worth of predictions, I seem to have finally gotten over being too optimistic. Despite being flamed for suggesting that we might end up with the worst record in the NBA, we did just that, and ended up with the 17-18 wins I posted that we would, months before the end of the season. I don't know if this means I'm on a roll or just got lucky for a while, but it gives me enough confidence that I'll go with my gut feeling this year, which is 24 wins.

In saying 24, I'm thinking that Westphal will have most of the responsibility for the improvement. I think our roster is as much of a mess as ever, and will keep us from escaping the 20s this season. We have quality + depth at SG, and depth at SF. Aside from that, we're just weak. After 2 preseason games, we have a total of 3 blocks, 26 assists, and 33 turnovers. I think that will be the theme for the season (again).
