Reke looked pretty good last time at SG, matched against Kobe Bryant and Metta World Peace BTW. Regardless however now your argument is based on, what? 3 preseason games where he played SG? He hasn't really hurt us in those games aside from the bad shooting night in G.S>, which seemed to be team wide. Whether he's been great or not is another question, but also quails in the face of the constantly shifting personnel around him in what is, still preseason. Right now Steve Nash looks like a scrub and a terrible pickup too.
I actually agree a lot of this is Reke's head. But half of that is coaching, as he's being yanked, jerked, told to play against all his instincts, told to shoot shots he knows he is not good at, told to guard guys who outweigh him by 30lbs. And frankly he's too good a teammate. Too good a guy. When other peeps come in demanding shots, he accepts it and backs off and tries to not cause a problem. When the riffraff is cleared away and the ball is put in his hands, boom, all of a sudden he's Reke again. That again is something on the coach and GM as much as the player. You should be celebrating and featuring a talent with an unselfish streak, not burying it.
