No, we're whining about how turrible Landry is.

We traded a 1-dimensional 2 guard (probably the most 1-dimensional friendly position in the NBA) for a 1-dimensional PF, a position where you NEED rebounding/and or defense more than scoring.

I dont want Kev back, but I think we could have gotten better for him.

Ah well, Flandry is gonna be gone after this abysmal season, so what evs. We got cap space for Kevin, so I suppose we can better judge the trade after FA signings.

Whining? dude look through this thread, you have been bitching for last 2 hours.

Martin needed to be traded, what we got for him wasn't fair value. Thats all. Don't wanna hijack this thread to beat a dead horse.
 
Yeah, Spurs are just nasty good.

I honestly think that the only reason we were able to outscore them in the second half is because Pop considered the entire second half garbage time. They buried us and then coasted.

Don't know about that. If Pop thought it was garbage time, he probably wouldn't have bothered getting that tech
 
I really don't think Landry lost us this game people 17-3 isn't terrible (ok the rebs is kinda bad) but he contributed. I feel Westphal's crazy, random lineups that were consistently out-matched cost us this one. Don't blame the dude who dropped 17 on 8/13 shooting...

It was the total lack of defense and effort in general that did it for me.

Pop isn't like the pompous Phil Jackson. He coaches every minute of the game and if he feels like he was wronged even though they are up by 40, he will let the refs know and he will stand up for his players. Pop is a great coach.

Exactly, which is why I doubt that he considered the 2nd half "garbage time"

Splitter: 16/9 on 7/8 shooting. Splitter's season averages: 4/2.

I'm not blaming Landry for the loss, Spurs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kings, and we just witnessed that fact in action. They are a great, great, team and could possibly be the Champs when its all said and done. Landry just didnt help. The dude is the Kevin Martin of PFs, and you just cant have that kind of one dimensionality in the frontcourt if you want to hang with +.500 teams.

We would have lost anyways, but in the late third when Reke decided to make things interesting, any chance of us clawing our way back into it was killed by Landry getting slapped around by a scrub. Its hard to gain momentum when all Pops has to do to nip any runs in the bud is give the ball to his scrub and let him go to work on Landry.
