Kings reaping the benefits of the Bagley/Barnes/Buddy/Fox core several years too late for it to matter. That lineup plus Mitchell at the point of attack was absolutely giving the Rockets fits.

Bear in mind that the Kings are playing against one of the worst teams in the League.

I mean, presuming that Philadelphia was somehow able to get rid of Simmons, but not get rid of Harris, they still have the problem of not enough shots to go around, and Fox doesn't really fix that, for them.
Plus, I’m not interested in Simmons as the central return in a trade for Fox either, so this is a win-win.

Kinda makes you wonder where we’d be if we ever had decent coaching.

Joerger had us looking poised for a leap before he got Brandon Williams’d.

As much as I’d love to see us get a top 3 pick in the upcoming draft, if the choice was between a top prospect and a top coach, I’m picking top coach.

Mediocre coaches aside, the mistake was taking top 5 picks and wasting precious exposure putting George Hill/Holmes types in their way so you could win on your path of development. When that winning doesn't come it's franchise crushing. The fact that Bagley has been out so often meant that exposure was even that much more important. 24 mpg so role guys can soak up the sun? Yeah, not how you do that ****.

The Magnificent Roberto is on a giant unicycle juggling machetes with a crowd in pretty close proximity. I didn’t think it got more impressive that flipping a series of bowls onto ones’ head.

Mitchell played way too many minutes in that first half and oh yeah was also the wrong pick.

If Fox and Hali both cannibalize each other in the backcourt for usage, what the hell is Mitchell going to do?

1000%.

No one's reaping anything.

They're 17-27 and the Rockets suck.

Bagley at C sucks, always has, and the stats back that up.

Bagley putting up 20 and 10 per means you are in the driver seat on where your franchise goes. Not in the position that they are in now. Hate to tell you, history rarely backs up anything about teams pushing role guys in front of lottery picks. Role guys blow up? You eventually overpay them. While your top pick and the value that goes with it shrinks to nothing.

I hate 20 and 10 per.

I don't know if this holds up. Bagley was handed a starting role at the start of last season and Holmes outplayed him and took his spot. Richaun wasn't brought in to start over Bagley, Marvin just wasn't ready.

Who would’ve been your pick? I’ve always been on the Sengun Train.

I was hoping for Giddey or Kuminga to fall to 9, I didn't really like anyone in the 9 range, just makes me wish they had lost 1-2 more games. I guess with whoever was available I would've gone Bouknight.

I thought Wagner was going to be pedestrian but so far he's proven me wrong.

I always felt that #9 pick just fell to us and Kings were set to select Franz Wagner who went to Orlando at #8. And Wagner so far is the better rookie by far,

Bagley was never handed the lead pick and roll slot around Fox. He played PF and literally transitioned to a stretch 4, a position that right now is one of the lowest valued slots in the game if you aren't an elite shooter.
