The defense still isn't good, but he's been every bit the #1 option we've come to expect since trading Hali. Should be noted the 3pt shooting is 36.9% on 4.6 attempts during that 14-game span. That's excellent.

He needs to completely re-work his defense, not improving it. His defensive stand is poor, his hand is always down, he tries to sell offensive foul too much, when his guys drives to basket, his hands are up like he's surrendering and just back away.

Can't wait to hear how this is Fox's fault.
I didn't watch the game so I cannot really provide feedback on this one. But we lost ... again. Did he play good defense?

In any case, sure, impressive stats. Nothing to complain on the offense.

But I add two more questions.

Can he sustain a similar level of performance? (Especially 3pt shooting)

Can he repeat this performance with Sabonis on the floor?

Go Nugs! Helps the tank n helps my pockets! Got in before the Domas annoucement.

A bit closer than I expected, but still a perfect outcome. I took the Nugs -4. Paid for an upcoming vacation and covered what I’ve spent on the Kings this year. Plus it helps the tank. Kings basketball, where losing is actually winning!

This Holmes thing is ridiculous. Ok, he had legit reasons to be out with the eye injuries. But then he gets the mysterious "back soreness" on the All Star break, which just happened to coincide with the post-Sabonis trade. And when his back got better, presumably, he's now out for "personal reasons"? But he's at the game??? WTF! Is he going to be out for "personal reasons" for the rest of the season, while he enjoys spectating at Kings game from the stands? Is he still getting paid or what? Are the Kings running a professional basketball team or a baby-sitting venture?
Yeah, I get an off feeling about the situation too. Something doesn't seem right. Especially with the context and situation we see.

Well, he's done it for 10 straight games...so...yeah?

Kings defense obviously improved in the second half because we didn't play Fox.

In regard to the quoted Tweet, I just want to poke my head in here and point out that "tale of two halves" is currently #1 on the list of Cringiest Sports Cliches You Should Never, Ever Use, and has been for at least several years. A distant #2, but quickly gaining, is "flip the script".

I think a starting five of Fox, DDV, Barnes, Sabonis, and if we can will into existence one of Jabari or Chet--but if not, Murray would be fine too--it would be a good starting five. Then add in a pretty good coach, we would be looking at a team with solid offense and defense. If this new coach can also run screens for Fox to get him some catch and shoot opportunities that would be ideal as well.

Not sure if Donte is a starter or a great fit next to Fox as a starter. Davis I think provides more talent and a bigger threat offensively. Donte as that BoJax type that can both run an offense from the bench and be a defensive/energy player is a good look. The question is the cost. If they got Chet then maybe he could be since at the NBA level that kid might check off a whole lot of boxes with his potential to live at the free throw line alone.

I would assume if Donte started he wouldn't be required to create as much as he does when he comes off the bench. When he has to create and be a lot of the offense, that's where it seems he starts to make bad decisions and starts to chuck a little. I admit, I did not watch him or the Bucks a ton, so I am unsure how he was used in their offense.

I forgot about Davis to be honest, if he can continue at the level he was at before his injury then he could be the better starter. Do you remember how his defense was? I missed a lot of the games in the first half of the season due to work.

nobody is trading down for Harrison Barnes
Depends on who wins the lottery and where our pick ends up.

I could see a case being made for IND, MEM, POR, SAS, NYK, CHA, WAS, & ATL being open to that type of deal considering I could see all of them trying to be competitive next season.

Again, it depends on where our pick lands as well. Would one of those teams be open to a #3/#4 & Barnes for #1/#2 type trade? I’d think so. WAS, for example, could add Ivey & Barnes around Beal & Porzingis vs taking another Porzingis type in Holmgren. Ivey-Beal-Barnes-Kuzma-Porzingis is an interesting lineup.

Not really worth us going back and forth on this until we know where the lottery determines everyone is picking but I can see scenarios where Barnes could be used to trade up.

Davis wasn't Donte level but he was OK defensively.

I think I'd flip TD-Donte role to make more sense. DDV as we've seen is better suited a quality support player off stars with the defense/hustle/rebounding/off-ball movement while TD can be a focal offensive point off the bench and be the sparkplug.
