I call it like I see it, and Evans proved once again that when he's looking to score, his go-to move is running into traffic. Sometimes he comes up with a great layup, and other times he digs himself into a hole. Sometimes it's a game winner, and tonight it was the reason why the Kings failed on that crucial possession. If you don't like what I have to say, then I suggest you stop watching the games because that's what is happening. The day Evans develops a shot and starts using it is the day the game opens up for him and the kings start winning these games.

I figured that's what he was trying to tell the refs when the camera showed him. Damn timekeeper should be siding with the Kings.

I'm with you man.
3 plays in a row, Evans forces a terrible shot into the teeth of the defense. He got bailed out on one of those, but still...I knew he was going to drive into traffic, you knew he was going to drive into traffic, and the Mavs defense knew it.
When the game is on the line, Reke goes from low BBIQ, to no BBIQ.
He's improved certain aspects of his game, so there is hope. But the kid needs a lot of coaching. I dont think he's a completely selfish player, it seems like he just wants to be a hero and plays above his abilities.
Its funny how defensive some posters on here get about Tyreke. The guy has major flaws. Good news is that they can all be corrected. I also think his jumper is a little bit better than last season, so thats some reason to be optimistic.
Still...In 3 years, I think DMC is going to be the guy to get the ball to when the game is on the line. Hopefully Reke learns to defer.

I swear, the Kings are one of the more snake-bit organizations in all of American sports.
If Luther Head hadn't HAPPENED to foul Terry the instant that he did, the Mavs would have had an 8-second violation. It was literally a tenth of a second away.
But because he couldn't hold off for one tenth of a second, the Kings can't complain to the league the way that other organizations can and do when they feel things aren't going their way.
Oh, and the NBA has made it so that DMC literally cannot be on the floor - on the 1st tech, he literally ran AWAY from the official so as not to get the tech when he has ANY emotion showing.
They are taught that, and he did what they told him to.
Problem is - the ref on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FLOOR started walking towards DMC.
When DMC turned and made the "possession" indicator, that ref T'd him up.
There are 3 refs on an NBA floor, and I believe he isn't allowed to leave the court during play, so that leaves DMC with probably about 5 square feet of the floor that he can crouch into a ball in and NOT receive a technical.
Then again, if he did crouch into a ball, they would probably view it as an over-the-top gesture, and T him up for not standing there, motionless, like a slack-jawed monkey with no emotions and zero competitive desire.
The REALLY insulting part of the refs' treatment of Cousins, is that everyone knows they have backed off the "spirit of the game tech" against everyone else - it's seldom called anymore, as everyone knew they would back off.
You seldom see a household-name player getting a tech, even for the most egregious of reactions, even going TOWARDS the refs and engaging them in their arguing and reactions after a play.

On the DVR, Dirk grabbed the rebound at 13.3 and the foul stopped the clock at 4.8. There were definitely a few tenths run off after the whistle, and you can't count on the refs to start a count immediately when the ball is grabbed, but had we not fouled, Terry was not going to get it across the line in 8 and we would have had a definite gripe. As it was, at least 7.5 had run off before the foul if you give a half a second cushion on each side.

Plus, it's alot harder with no 24 second clock. I don't think they could do the math and run at the same time with their shoes on.

Nice description. I know DMC has his problems but it would take an idiot not to notice how hard he is trying to control himself. He has done a wonderful job. And then there are the vets who get to rant and rave when they are wrong. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I think everybody makes mistake even the refs (of course) But this game made me wonder if DMC has a target on his back. An unfair target.
This phase will pass and DMC will get the last laugh with his place in history firmly entrenched and no one remembering the refs. Count on it.
Maybe it has been discussed but has anyone come up with an explanation for the T that got Cuz ejected? Must be something they both said. From what I saw, it was a no call or a foul on the Mav but why a T?

This is an exaggeration on my part but I had thoughts of 2002 Lakers game pass through my mind. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't so obvious but it was my mind and I can't control where it goes.

I watched the replay a few times, and didn't see Cousins move his lips. Also, the ref who called the tech, ran up from behind him(the ref was out towards halfcourt), and wouldn't of been able to see if he was talking or not. The baseline official would have, but he didn't call the tech.

“Coach drew up a play for DeMarcus to set a pick, then just to try to attack and get a foul. They didn’t give us the call. I probably should have pulled up. Next time I know.”
He was also drinking a glass of water and had his hand up Chandler's...let's just say it looked awkward.

LOL he has sounded more and more like a broken record. But Look at what they have given him to work with? No vets, CBA Backups. It is a recipe for a high draft pick.
