[Game] Kings vs. Magic, 2/12/2021, 7pm PST, 10pm EST

Man, I don’t agree at all. Lol

Nice injury depth, but I’d prefer to see almost anyone else.

We'll agree to disagree, dear SLAB. Yeah, he got off to a poor start this year and has clear weaknesses to his game defensively. But to think there's no place for a 40% 3-pt shooter (last 3 seasons) who can handle and pass.... c'mon now. Especially on a team when HB is being run into the ground?

And that already puts to bed the notion that this turnaround doesn't have the name De'Aaron Fox behind it. haha. C'mon, this Magic team is missing half of their roster!

All 8 Kings who've played have at least 1 TO. *Really* gotta clean that up. A lil defensive resistance would also be nice.

As has been noted elsewhere, w/or without DFox the Kings play up, or down, to their competition. They haven't blown anyone out all year. Get the win w/no injuries and I'll be happy.

any possession where Ty doesn’t touch the ball is an awful possession. (As he chucks it out of bounds 10 feet from anyone else)

When playing injured against injured teams is when coaching and system and their importance is revealed.

Another fact, the Kings have got to get some help on the wing. Due to their own injuries the Magic are playing smaller but they have the tools to play it right with legit size across all positions and they are simply gobbling up the Kings.

This is ridiculous. This is the coaching that I've been talking about. These type of games tell you if it's coaching or players responsible for the streak. Every one on this forum knew this was a trap gsme and we would play down to our comp. That's why we don't blow people out.

Legit would have been better off throwing the ghost of Jabari Parker in there over GRIII tonight.

Sigh

Should’ve known a stinker vs Orlando was in the cards at 12-12. it’s consistent with all the other times the Kings looked like they were turning the corner

And the Kings really don't have a true system outside of pick and roll and that's actually not a bad thing considering it fits the Kings guards. We've already seen more reverting to high post and swing ball with Fox out and it's not working just like usual. Defensively without Fox to disrupt on the ball it's been a lot of leaving guys to play in space. That's not going to get it done. The turnaround has been based on playing up, staying aggressive, and playing tight defense.

This isn't pretty at all. I'd be OK if not for the Magic being down almost their whole team, haha.
