Shout out to Monk, Huerter and Keegan. Obviously we don’t win this without Fox but holy moly those guys came through when he went down. What did the telecast say about De’Aaron?

I assume you're talking about the ankle? Nothing yet, but the obvious assumption is that him sitting the end of OT suggests he's not great.

That’s a galvanizing type of win. They picked each other up in this one.

Absolute redemption from Red Velvet. Everyone (wrongfully) calling for his head and he goes out and wins this damn game with Monk in OT.

Shouts to Keegs for his 2nd half too. Started the game 0-6 in the first half, finished it 6-8 for 17 points. With some absolute clutch buckets in crunch time.

I'm glad our guys pulled off the win but I don't feel good about it. We won because the Lakers bricked three wide open jumpers in a row in OT. Lebron basically got to pick his favorite mis-match (mostly Monk, Mitchell, and Sabonis) and iso on them for the whole fourth quarter. We're not going to reliably win when we allow other teams to get whatever shots they want against us.

I'd totally give the game ball to Coach Brown for this one. He had this team ready to play. They were AGGRESSIVE and PHYSICAL and when they weren't he let them know, like cussing out Keegan when he wasn't aggressively shooting the ball. I'll always remember this game for sequence where Keegan didn't take the shot, Brown immediately got Sasha up from the bench to replace him, THEN Keegan comes down the floor, buries the 3 pointer and Brown then calls back Sasha. Sasha was smiling all the way back to the bench. Brown is demanding aggressiveness from this team and I freaking love it.

I had flashbacks before anyone even picked it up. Oddly the result probably favored us instead of a contested drive with an and-1 or them settling for a 3 and it going in, they did what we always complain about teams not doing and took the 2 points and it probably shut the door.

I generally agree, but the Lakers also hit a bunch of clutch shots (mostly 3s) where had they missed the game would have been over. I’d say those bricks evened things out a bit

I think you have to at this point. Davion remains unplayable on offense and just stalls when he's the primary ball-handler. Even if Monk is inefficient scoring, he's still putting pressure on the defense with his ability to attack the rim. And of course if he is rolling, he's capable of 30 on any night. Davion just doesn't have that in his bag.

I'm also biased, because I want to see what Monk looks like in 30+ minutes. My whole "hidden offensive star" thesis in action would be fun to see

I listened to most of the second half on radio until I made it back inside with it tied and the Kings with the final regulation possession.

Were the fouls on our guys all legit? It was crazy how quickly Fox and Sabonis got put into foul trouble and it swung the game right back to the Lakers.

Took Vezenkov 3 games to fully win me over. Has a brilliant understanding of off-ball movement offensively and he's got that fire that every 3pt sniper really needs to be successful in this league. Where it doesn't matter if he's 1-6, dude is going to pull every open look he gets and then some. We absolutely needed that last year in the playoffs. No doubt he's going to have some 5+ 3PM games this year where he pops for a monster game.

And he competes hard, especially on the glass.

This could be a great thing for Davion to get going but yeah, the leash is probably a short one if he doesn't work out.

Brown is trying to instill a championship mentality. Klay might middle everything in the 1st half but has a short memory. Brown wants that out of Keegan.

I think Keegans thumb injury is in his head and Brown wants him to work through it. Good on Coach Brown.
