One must remember that Kenny Natt wasn't a basketball coach but rather a toilet plunger in a suit and tie put on the sidelines exclusively so we could tank for one season (after which the lottery gods smote us and moved us down three whole slots in the draft anyways).
Did he ever appear on another coaching staff? or was that his end

That stretch was always very worrisome. A bit less so now, as we're toast. Once that stretch is over, we'll probably be about 6-7 games out of the #10 slot with 9 to go (7 of those 9 on the road, but easier teams overall).

It's time to pull the plug, there's no chance at this point.
that would be the rational approach. Since when has this team been rational.

You have your 3rd GM talking about making the play-offs and each year he has been here the team has gotten worse and lost assets.

the Kings have all their draft picks (hell, they even picked up a second in the Pacers trade) and now have the cap flexibility to add a max-level player either this summer or the next. Not sure where you're getting this "lost assets" idea from.

Fox-Sabonis isn't really looking like a legit 1-2 pairing. I'll give them this offseason to gel. This Kings franchise doesn't get an excuse of being "young and inexperienced" anymore. An entire off-season is all it took for the Bulls to turn their franchise around.

Monte needs to do a lot more moves this off-season. The current roster might be the least talented we've had since Fox's rookie year?

Which roster was the most talented?

What makes me really SICK is seeing a Tom Thibodeau( a Guy that Famously doesn't use rookies) ,playing a Rook like Jericho Sims, who has no offensive abilities other than jumping out of the gym around 15 mins a game. Meanwhile the kings, leave their Rookie on the bench for a whole month! to the point of actually making him look rusty the next time they send him back to the G League (was averaging 19/9 before), show how badly managed this team is.

Errr, Thibodeau was only playing Sims because Obi Toppin and Nerlens Noel were both out with injuries AND Mitchell Robinson had to leave at halftime.

Well, yes Noel has been injured, but Toppin last played on the 3rd of March, and Sims has logged 3 20min games at that time.

Justin Holiday just the latest "solid vet" to immediately come to Sacramento and forget how to play. Good lord.

How many more 3-13's and 1-8 from 3 are we going to take? It's just crushing the starting unit offense.
Even if he had gone 6-8 from 3 today we would still have lost.

And is the only player in the team that arguably had a bad night.

I think that the problem is a lot deeper than that ...

We allow average players game after game to have career highs on us.

I really wonder how the coaching staffs and players prepare the games in general. Do they read beyond the first line of a scouting report?

Well we can’t trade Sabonis cause his value goes down with his impending free agency. Do we even have salary space to grab free agents like Chicago did? Do we trade fox if this pairing like you’re saying isnt worling

Kings look great in the 1h, the opponent makes adjustments (mostly just playing actual defense) in the 2h, and the Kings collapse. It’s not the Kings coaching. It’s the players on the floor.

Kings passed on Luka, because they felt Fox and Luka wouldn’t work. Fox and Hali didn’t work. Now it’s looking like Fox and Domas may not work. The common denominator is the issue. If both do not improve their jump shooting outside of the restricted area, Fox needs to go.

With authority comes responsibility (and the other way around). Especially in a players league like the NBA.

At the moment Fox is the player dominates the ball, leads the offense, stays more time on the floor and is the highest paid on the team. So he must be held accountable when we loose. As much as Gentry or even more.

Just some facts from today's game.

RJ Barret 29 pts.
Immanuel Quickley 27 pts.

Both outscored Fox today and played better defense than him. I find this completely unacceptable.

Yes, it’s on the players. Without looking, name the last five NBA championship winning coaches.
Cool. You're wrong.
Bucks (Bud), Lakers(bubble-Vogel?), Raptors (Nurse), Warriors (Kerr). The only coaching outlier there is Vogel. But thanks for helping me make my point.

How am I wrong? Kerr wasn't winning without the trio. Nurse was in the lottery last year. Bud is riding Giannis' prime. Vogel is in danger of getting canned, because he can't figure out the Westy dilema. Coaches matter much less in the pros. It's all about the players. College? Yes, I agree.

So the Kings should have kept Walton? How do you explain the Knicks resurgence? What are the Spurs known for? Coaching does play an important role.

That said things have gone down hill since Domas and the Black Falcon spoke up about the referees one sided calls.

Nah, I'm going to double down on this. The Bulls dynasty doesn't happen without Jackson. If coaching (even with elite players) doesn't matter, Doug Collins rides Michael Jordan into the sunset. What about Mark Jackson? Hell, he's probably still at Golden State. But it's certainly easier to single out a player, rather than a system. (And we haven't even talked about an interim coach using the same flawed system.)

But I suppose it's easier to blame a person than an ideology.

It's the players. If Fox and Domas are unable to develop a consistent set shot outside of the restricted area, Fox needs to go. Doesn't take a genius to figure out how to defend the Kings.

Elite players > coaching.
Walton had an elite record when he was with the GSW trio. Not so much without them.

Kings lose big leads, because its lead guard is unable to play effectively at different speeds.
Randle at pf/c has a career game, shoots 8/16 from 3 to help the Knicks surge back in the second half. Can’t be Fox’s fault this time right? I guess it can

Pace. As I said above, Kings lose big leads, because its lead guard is unable to play effectively at different speeds.

It's the equivalent of a team with a 17 point lead in the NFL at halftime. Yet they're still throwing every down in the 2H, leading to pick sixes, and gifting extra possessions to the opposing team.
