Let's see...

18 different head coaches
29 years
2 playoff appearances
1 playoff victory

vs.

Rick Adelman
8 years
8 playoff appearances
34 playoff victories

Somehow I think you've picked the wrong franchise to try to sell that argument to.
I'm sure Vlade, Cweb, Doug, Peja, Bibby, and Bobby didn't have anything to do with it. Plus one year of Ron Artest.

In the same way ... Let's see.

Adelman has only been able to reach the playoffs when he had at least one Hall of Famer in the team.

Portland -> Clyde Drexler
Warriors -> Chris Mullin (missed playoffs)
Kings -> Chris Webber
Rockets -> Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady
Timberwolves -> (missed playoffs)

Only exception 2005 - 2006 with Artest.

That said. I think Adelman is a terrific coach.

I wish people would calm down some of their hyperbole about the "16 years of futility" streak. That's a streak that started when our ownership group was actively sabotaging the team in an effort to move the team to Virginia Beach (or Anaheim or Seattle), spans 4 different GMs and a revolving door of coaches, and includes a large number of players who have since retired or moved on from the NBA. Obviously we're all hoping the streak ends soon but placing a decade plus of blame on these players is ridiculous. Our current roster only includes 2 players who've been here longer than 3 years. If Dave is serious about that comment, he should @ Fox, Barnes, and Holmes. I don't think any of those three are part of our "culture" problem, whatever that actually means.

Rick had Chris Mullin on those Warriors teams:)

You make too much sense and make the rest of us look bad. The mods should step in.

I’ll settle for trading every remaining Vlade player.

again I’m not completely convinced Fox isn’t trying to lose. He has his money. He knows how much a top draft pick would help this team next year. I have nothing to base this belief on but the few times I actually bother to watch.
I doubt it, but, if true, there are better ways to accomplish that. Like season ending “surgery”. If he’s out there throwing games, Vegas and the NBA would have an issue with it.

Honestly, if the Kings want to win, start Mitchell. Turn Fox into a 6th man. Or trade him, The spacing and ball movement sucks with Fox dominating the ball—even on the good plays, it’s mostly Fox dribbling. And they leak too many points on defense, because of a lack of a point of attack defender.

Not sure if you meant tank or win but Mitchell’s offense and ball movement has been pretty bad. I don’t see him creating for anyone. Mostly dribbles around for a jumper around the key, shoots a 3 and if lucky will drive in for a layup but his splits are 40/30/57. His defense is his only saving grace right now and I believe the only reason he isn’t getting more blame, that and the fact he’s a rookie but it’s not like he’s a 19 year old rookie. I’m not saying he’s the reason we’re losing but to keep blaming a western player of the week runner up instead of players who are actually playing bad still confuses me.

To win. Davion hasn’t played well lately off the bench. Both Davion and DDV are operating like shooting guards when they get floor time. Start him, sit Fox, and the Kings will start winning.

I have zero faith in Davion getting more time being the key to not losing.
