[Game] Kings VS Grizzlies 3/20/12 Game Thread

I think the mods deserve respect because they are mods. They put in the extra work and the extra crap to try to make this place a civil and interesting place to talk basketball and our Kings. They will make mistakes but so what? Without them this place would be chaos. I don't know why this is an issue that needs to be brought up in the middle of a very exciting basketball game. You can discuss it with the mods. May be some will answer and maybe some won't. If you have a particular person in mind, give it a shot. Trying to shame them publicly sems immature to me. Discuss it directly with them. If you enter such a discussion with a chip on your shoulder, your note may not be received well but if you handle it maturely, you may get a reasonable response. It's a two way street.

They have recently cleaned this forum of some bonafied trouble makers. Did anyone thank them? Probably not but it's a shame.
Look, I know what it's like to be a moderator of a forum (I am one myself). I agree that they probably do not get the recognition they deserve for their work. I sure feel that way as well sometimes. I do thank them for their hard work. At the same time, I think the members of a forum should put their voice in when they feel something is handled wrong. Look, I do not think at all that anything in what I said was "shaming" as you put it. I thought it was something relevant that the mods could handle a bit differently down the line when people have different viewpoints. There was no chip on my shoulder, I was just trying to make an observation. I was not one of the people who held that view that Tyreke was the difference in the ball movement, but I still thought it was a view that deserved to be voiced as well. One of the mods (I won't put who out of respect) told a member "I would not go down that road if I were you" when a member commented "dare I say...when Tyreke went down with an injury", which I see as a threat that there will be some kind of suspension or something if he were to continue to talk about the issue.

Not so sure about that. Now, Reke, MT, and IT together is another matter.
This team is showing that it feeds off of Thornton, when he scores alot, we play alot better. He is the most "complete" player we have from our young core. A starting lineup with Cousins, Tyreke and Thornton doesn't work because every night one of the three will sacrifice production, and in nights where they try to spread the wealth, 2 guys may not get enough shots to get going. Our current lineup works because theres an inside outside dynamic with Thornton and Cousins, JT doing the dirty work, and Isaiah setting up the offense and picking his spots to score as well, and Salmons being the wing defender that can isolate or hit a shot when needed. Tyreke doesn't quite fit in because he is not good as Isaiah at setting up the offense, he cant hit the outside jumper like Salmons is able to do somewhat.

Cousins amazes me. He's a combination of grace a pure strength. I'd have to think a bit to remember someone with a similar combination of attributes. A guy 6'11" who knocks people around is to be expected. One who can dribble, move quickly, and finish with dexterity around the rim is a whole other animal. What can't he do besides block shots? Amazing.

Tyreke did nothing wrong while he was in. The little run that Memphis went on was after 3 bad shots in the post to cousins. Our mini run at the end was due to good team defense, getting steals and going out on the break.
Well actually from the Yahoo sports game companion page the lead went down from these possessions:

Cousins missing two free throws in a row, then missing a six foot jumper, then the third was in the post with JT missing the five footer in the lane.

The Grizzlies made all their shots after these missed baskets.

Stay out of foul trouble.

Didn't I mention a slight cause of concern because Cousins' stats were dropping the last few weeks. Probably nothing to worry about. :) Wow!!
