So much going on in the NBA rumor mill, so little that actually involves our beloved Kings. Geoff Petrie does not run a very good hype machine.

I think I'll not recap the Detroit game in detail. It's kind of a fuzzy memory, and there were more interesting things going on during the hiatus. Here's my analysis: We won! 2 games in a row on the road. Excellente. It's a good thing to have those gimme wins under our belt before Boston comes traipsing into town looking to try and wipe the gym floor with some purple jerseys.
Really, I think this is a winnable game. I don't think Boston is the sort of team that can win a championship right now. The big three are old and creaky: Pierce and Allen are listed DTD, and Garnett is finally starting to show the effects of playing his constant grind it out style. I'm gonna miss the Big Ticket when he's gone, Garnett has always been a beast.

Let's take a little look back on the All Star festivities.
- Casspi was introduced to H.O.R.S.E. And for the first time ever, I felt kind of sleepy while watching him. What a boring game. I would even venture to say that the playing of H.O.R.S.E should be reserved for prissy women, children, old people, and the rehabilitating. Not a competitive man's game, not in my opinion. Casspi did get a chance to show his awesomeness off during the Rook / Soph challenge, I think he had more dunks than all other players. Not bad, not bad at all.
- Evans fully represented and won Rookie / Sophomore Challenge M.V.P. Even in the face of awesome performances by Blair and Westbrook. It was funny too, he didn't smile or show any emotion. He looked like someone receiving a consolation prize, and the case could be made that Evans was ignorantly disregarded by the league in favor of some uncaring veterans, regarding an All Star roster spot. I guess that's just how the league works. (One Ming, Yao excluded).
In all, not a bad showing for our Kings
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The most interesting thing going on in the league still regards the trade deadline: How will these rosters change? Two teams face off that are in need of some serious tinkering. These lineups may change at any time.
Predictions:
Kings 92 / Boston 97
Pts: Evans 21 / Pierce 20
Rbds: Hawes 7 / Perkins 9
Asst: Evans 6 / Rondo 8
Blks: Greene 2 / Perkins 2
Probable Starting Lineups:
Evans / Rondo: Interesting matchup. Evans may struggle to hit 21.
Martin / Allen: Could see 20 points from either or both of these guys.
Greene / Pierce: A great test for Greene. This matchup could be our key to victory.
Thompson / Wallace: Thompson has no chance against Boston's two headed PF monster.
Hawes / Perkins: Hawes will be shut down.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In order to win, the Kings will have to get incredible performances out of the wing positions. That means that Martin and Evans will have to really step it up. Unless, of course, Udrih and Casspi do.![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
