[Game] Kings versus Rockets 12/19/10 Game Thread

Dude I was at the game and its obvious he's not a PG. I love Reke, he's my 2nd fav player on this team after Cousins, but he needs a PG to set the plays up for him. You would be surprised at how much better he's able to get open and how well he moves without the ball if you saw it in person.

What they need to do is just run plays through Cousins. Looked good in the last game, Cousins could help set up Reke from the high post.

I've seen him in person, he moves pretty well you're right. However, he's arguably our best ball-handler, draws double-teams, is one of our best passers and lacks the one fundamental skill a SG needs...it's called a "shooting" guard. Now personally I think he plays pretty well with Beno so call him an SG if you want but they both bring the ball up the floor. Beno is a true PG, Tyreke is a combo guard.

Eh, Beno's not really a true PG either. He looks for his shot a ton, trying to get into that 15 foot range and use his pull up J plus he's not a great outside shooter. He's not really a great passer either. Beno's a combo guard honestly. We have 2 combo guards playing right now.

Also, IIRC Tyreke made a few long 2s or 3 pointers. At the game his J looked pretty good. If he got wide open shots instead of having to shoot them off a dribble a lot he'd probably make more of them.

I think you may be judging Beno and Tyreke on last game's performance. Tyreke's jumper is improved this year and I'm not saying he's incapable of improving it more but both these guys are PG's. Beno is an excellent passer BTW.
