[Game] Kings v. Pelicans - Sunday, Dec. 23 - 3PT/6ET

I'm looking for some defense DNA like we've seen with Bagley. Bagley is a rookie, and not a red shirted rookie, but it's obvious he's got some defensive talent. Giles isn't as obvious so far.

Fair enough. :)

Solid (if unspectacular) minutes from Giles.

I’ll take it and hopefully this is his ascent into the regular rotation.
Giles always looks like he's absorbing info out there.. filing things in the mental rolodex.

There was a great quote from Bagley after the first game vs Utah where he said "I never played against anyone like that" about Gobert, Harry especially with the way his skillset is so diverse really needs time to test the water, there are somethings that can't be learned in the G-League. Anthony Davis is the best bigman on the planet, he looked good(but skinny..) out there vs him.

It’s there. Didn’t he have a bunch of steals one game earlier? And it’s not like his defensive instincts he displayed in SL were a fluke or just disappeared over night. He simply needs to gain confidence (and likley some muscle) against legit NBA players.

Great point. Everything I'd read seems to indicate he's got the BBIQ - he just needs to learn to translate his knowledge into actions.

72-63 Pels

WCS shot looks off to the right on his FTs. Of course, he did just get smacked in the face...

This game could have all-star implications for D-Fox. It may come down to Jrue vs D-Fox for the last spot. The Pelicans need to improve their record to justify having two players on the team while the Kings need to keep winning to justify having one. Jrue has better stats so for Fox to get named over him we need to have the better record.

I just wanna say the bucket that brought them to 74, that is not a reasonable play to blame on the rim protection.. Willie is left on an island to guard 2 players...

If he just goes and bumps someone for a hard foul that people are asking for, that only further exacerbates the issue...

AD for the line for 3 on a close call on Bjelica who went under AD while he was in the air. AD makes 2. Giles in for Bjelica.
