I think Barnes is going to be just fine defensively. Wade is having flashbacks because Barnes is right on him.

I have wonders if the Kings might not have made a mistake not looking to upgrade that center spot. That lack of physicality is rearing it's ugly head again.

this may be one of those games where Kings keep clawing back to 4 or 5 points only for the Heat to respond and get back to 8 or 10. Kings need to clean it up...the Heat are dictating how they want to play

The Kings always have games like this when they stop going with what works. Keep going to what's working. They keep trying to mix it up too much. Keep it simple, run some two man game until they are forced to switch then find the mismatch.

considering we got nothing out of fox, willie, bogi and bags, I will choose to be optimistic about our chances in the second half.
You're right, Fox is having a bad game offensively forcing he dribble. Bogdan not much better. Stein is hurting on the defensive end - too passive. Kings bench stabilized it somewhat. Need to set more screens for Hield, or dribble and kick to him.

Can every single second half scheduled Bogi minute go to Burks or Brewer?
How much of a leash Burks has here, not only minutes wise but positionally and how much he gets the ball is really an interesting storyline, to me at least...

Vlade said he was a combo in the presser, which doesn't solve anything, but is some sort of a clue. It's conceivable he could play some PG, SG and SF....

I guess really the question is; If Bogdan and Yogi are having off nights and Burks is on fire, would they pass him the reigns in at backup duty?? I wouldn't count on it I think the idea is more of a 2 pronged attack with him and Bogdan... but still...

There was one year it mustve been like 2013 Utah started old ass Jamal Tinsley for much of the season, you could make a case that Burks was actually their best option at PG on that roster.

There was actually a game back then vs the Kings and Isaiah Thomas was completely destroying Utah, and as a last ditch effort they put Burks on him and he did better than anyone else.. IT was unconscious in that game too.

This game and the last have challenging circumstances with the trades. They have to fight through the discomfort of the transition period. Fox needs to take control in the second half.
Someone needs to fill in the scoring more consistently., and not many offensive rebounds either...Hield is the logical choice for offensive focus. I'd try Giles and Bagley for extended minutes - cant hurt.

Bagley has had a stinker so far. We have really missed his energy and rebounding. Giles gave us a bit of that in the 2nd quarter but then we brought WCS back in we lost the momentum, Miami went on a run and extended that lead.

Buddy has been the only one that has given us something offensively.

The only real pushback I have against making Bagley as the main offensive focus is his lack of awareness and passing IQ. He plays a bit too selfish and it hurts him right now.
