[Game] Kings v. Clippers 11/01/13 Game Thread

Wow what a let down the end of this game was... Thanks refs.

No, do not blame the officiating for the outcome of the game. That's a tired old refrain.

The Kings have done a good job against a very good team. They have nothing to be ashamed of and will continue to improve.

Extremely disappointing. I can accept if we get outplayed and lose, but the refs changed the momentum of this game. Clips superior talent just took over in the end

I'm disappointed for sure, but I'm not discouraged. BIG DIFFERENCE over last season.

Yeah, I'm not expecting to win every game...or many more than we won last year, obviously, but what I AM expecting to see is a more consistent and competitive attitude night in and night out. I am anxious to see Malone's 'adversity' game...how he deals with it, and the losing...and keeps his team's head on straight.

Refs had nothing to do with this loss, this loss dates back to the point we decided against trading or signing a SF who can compete at the NBA level and giving that money to Landry, smh you can't win basketball getting production from only 2 positions and having to carry scrubs on your back like Salmons. Seriously this team can play and are playing the right way but yeah if Salmons is getting lots of touches your in big trouble.

If the team has played this well this far, I cannot wait to see how much better they will be when Salmons and Outlaw can sit and Luc Richard can play.

They figured they had one in Moute,..which we still may

Well...Landry would have made better sense tonight, playing against Dudley and Barnes. I look forward to a couple months from now when we get him in there.

Edit: Also can't wait until the Prince is healthy, too...he will bring a different dynamic on the floor too. I don't think the Fish will be playing much once those two get back healthy...I still think he's great trade fodder, with his rather large expiring contract, though. :)

maybe if the ball was in Cousins hands more in the first half instead of John Salmons, the refs would not have been able to have an impact on this game

I'm not going to blame the refs either. I guarantee you that the Clipper fans on their board were probably blaming the refs for that long stretch where we had all of those foul shots.... Plus, a couple of those fouls against the clips were a bit borderline and could have went either way....

Good effort, we would have been blown out by 20 last season. I watched on the Clippers feed and they interviewed CP3 post game he said something like "This is a good team right here, well coached by Mike Malone, Isaiah Thomas one of the premiere guards in the league in my view". I don't like CP3 one bit, but i admit he is the best PG in the league, and those are some nice words, which this team would have never gotten last year from any elite player.

Hopefully the guys don't drop their heads and realize this is probably the best team in the West, surely top 2-3, if they put this kind of effort every night we will win more than lose, especially at home.

Good to see Cousins playing well again but the shot selection is still a big issue imo, he's a monster with the half hooks down low go to that more please big fella, Isaiah Thomas will easily win 6th man of the year he's a elite back up.

Lot to be learned from that. Cuz with stupid fouls near the end and IT with a costly TO after single-handedly bringing us back from the dead. Even when we were making the comeback I knew we weren't going to get the win.

Is there a more dislikable duo than Chris Paul and Blake? What a couple of whiney, flopping bi***es.

he was looking at the ref, and probably asked "Did you hear that?" when pointing at his own head, like a baby.

You're wasting your time trying to clarify the situation with 3me. The only thing he likes about the Kings didn't get onto the court Wednesday night or tonight...

Lets bring this back into decent perspective at this point. The glass is certainly more than half full.

I think we have a chance to finish above .500 at home, which would really be an accomplishment as far as record goes

I'd settle for the glass isn't almost empty. Last year, it was chipped and you stood a good chance of cutting your lip and dying of blood poisoning.
