[Game] Kings v. Bulls - 2/3/16 - 7 PT, 10 ET

while i appreciate that the kings have managed to close the gap, i just can't get past their consistent defensive malaise. often, this team's best chance to win a game is to simply hope and pray that their opponents either don't shoot very many three's or miss the lion's share of their wide open three's. 60 points at the half, complete with 8-13 shooting from beyond the arc for a bulls team missing several key contributors, including their best player? seriously?! god, it's infuriating. the majority of the kings' perimeter players are poor defenders, but so much of this team's inability to guard the three-point line this season can be attributed to scheme. give me a gritty, nasty, conservative-as-f*** tom thibodeau-styled defense over this perpetually-sagging-into-the-paint, hyperactively-switching-on-every-screen approach that george karl has decided can succeed in an nba that's becoming more prolific from long range every season...

beyond that, the kings' basement-level defensive showings over the last decade have clearly had an impact on opposing teams' confidence levels. shooters' eyes must light up across the league when they see the kings on the schedule. when no opponent is scared of you because you've shown no evidence of being able to stop anybody year after year after year after year, that opponent's confidence will surely skyrocket. these are professionals, after all. nobody should be surprised that nba players will connect at an exceedingly high percentage when left wide open. until the kings can establish a strong defensive culture, until they're able to instill a bit of fear in opposing shooters, we're going to see these nights where nobodies and various other unlikely players post career high's against this team...

Ms. Jackson did a good job with Bobby. I remember that time as she was dying of cancer very well. To have the team show up at the funeral is spectacular. (Is that what they did?) Bobby left the team for awhile but never sold his home. He's ours.

I don' t know when this turf toe sprang up but I have been losing my enthusiasm for him for about a month.
Yeah that 12 pts 13 ast 7 reb last month was hard to watch. Already in February he scores 19 points first game 4-4 from 3 point. Just horrid

That's not true.

I don't agree. There is less interest during game threads, social media feels slower, the games are featuring more opposing fans. It's not gone but there was an uptick when things were picking up but it feels like it's slowed down again
