Crowd slowly filling the seats. I think the weather and traffic were contributing factors. I'm watching for Kingsgurl!

Another bad pass by DC results in Cats ball. Miss and Kings board.

Pedja drives inside in traffic, misses gets his own board and cleans the mess.

Arco is playing music over the PA system... and it's about the only noise you can hear.

Observation: Without running the offense through Webber, the guys are just not making good passes. It's almost like they're out-of-synch just a tiny bit. Not something that can't be corrected, but it sure is irritating.

Observation #2: The Kings know this is a meaningless game. They know they are fully capable of grinding the Cats into the dust at any point. Unfortunately, because they know that, they are not - IMHO - giving anything close to a decent effort. At this point, I would be giving the team a D... and that's being generous.

End of an abysmal first quarter.

One note: Apparently there ARE some people in the seats. REAL people and not just cut-outs. They're starting to chant defense!

Grant makes a comment about the Kings having to get down by 20 before they start playing for real...

RaY Z - If this group of players needs Chris Webber to beat the Bobcats, we are totally and completely and utterly screwed. There is enough talent on our BENCH to beat the Bobcats, let alone a starting lineup that includes Brad, Mike, Doug and Pedja... This is just sloppy, uninspired play. If Adelman yelled about the Celtics game, he might burst a vein over this "effort."

And that's from one of the biggest Kings homers on the planet.
