Kings Underdogs Sunday and FT%

General Vegas Prediction: Kings lose 112-122 to Bucks (11/4/18)

I'm not sure if this game is more important than the Raptor game in terms of momentum, but swing for the home-run. Coach and team are obviously embracing high-tempo, high-scoring.

Most important current deficiency stat - last in the league in FT percentage made at 67%! Will not win against good teams with that statistic.

This year with such a promising start, that statistic is even more glaring.

The free throw stats had me wondering if that contributed to Buddy bringing the ball up in crunch time instead of Fox? As if you know that they are going to pressure you in the back court why did we not have our super fast point guard bringing it up to break the press.

Until you prove you can have a different result the opponents are going to try and exploit it. Kinda like when Bagley went to his right hand the last game it left his opponent going the wrong way.

It's not the FT rate that's the question, it's the FT% made. If you're up 1 with 10 seconds left and you inbound the ball to Fox, you now have a 60 something percent FT shooter at the stripe which is basically like inbounding to Marvin Bagley or WCS.

If you inbound the ball to Hield, you're putting it in a good FT shooters hands but you're running the risk of getting the ball stolen since he doesn't have good handles. I really think Joerger should be Yogi in during those situations to give the Kings another option. Even if he's coming off the bench with little to no minutes played, I'd rather have Yogi at the line than Fox at the end of the game. Even Frank Mason would be a better option.

Bogdan probably offers the best balance between handling/percentage once he comes back.

In the Bucks game, your probably right. But starting with the Raptor game, the problem should be solved with the return of Bog's. He's an excellent free throw shooter, and an excellent ball handler. I think at the end of games, you'll see the ball in either Bog's or Beli's hands.

Take the over. Both teams are going to run a four out and one with Fox/Giannis playing the same role.

If Jackson or Williams plays any semblance of some defense, the Kings win. The key is to force Middleton into a subpar game.

It is an early sunday game so that's a factor. End of a road trip too. This is yet another great test for them.

They most certainly can’t miss a ton of free throws. I’m also looking for Fox to keep up the great work and momentum and challenge their shot blocking in an intelligent manner

The over was a lock.
