I normally don't try and second guess Adelman but I have to wonder what in the heck he was thinking by killing the momentum the way he did. Bringing Hart, KT and Garcia in at the same time? Yuck... Totally destroyed any kind of dynamic the team had going.

It wasn't the most fun I've had in a while...

I am very proud of Rick Adelman for finally sending the message to the starters that if they don't put forth the effort, they're not gonna be on the court. IMHO we lost this game to teach them a lesson. I certainly hope they were paying attention...

If I could, I would fine the starters for their attitude AND their performance. Then I'd make them publicly apologize to everyone who spent GOOD MONEY on tickets to the game.

I'm very frustrated with this crap. Adelman is going to take the heat and it is so not his fault.

^^ that is the only positive that i'm taking from this game.

thank god adelman benched the starters! i didn't know he had it in him. good job.

and thank VF for great PBP, as usual.

Yep. If these supposed professionals have to rely on their coach to get them to play to the best of their ability, then we are doomed. And it won't be Rick's fault. Wow, Watching Bibby being interviewed. He said he's embarrassed and he looks SO down.

Good. I hope they're all down. And I hope they think about it a long time. I said it in another thread - Before they can start to get better, they have to admit they have a problem. Tonight I think they couldn't lie to themselves - or us - any longer. They're playing - for the most part - without heart, without drive, without focus.

I have a new mantra: Please God, let them not sink further into NBA suckiness.

talk has never been cheeper than at this moment
Well, its not like Bibby had a choice. Believe me, he looked like he'd rather be anywhere on earth, than facing the cameras

Don't care. If he is uncomfortable in this situations - he should stop to suck (his teammates included)

^^ that sucks..

in a way, it's good that he's (or they are) down, but it makes me really down, too. :(

Oh, I agree. Just commenting on the "talk is cheap" remark. I meant I think Bibby knows that, but he had to "talk" anyway. I will say, at least he didn't spout some of the same trite drivel about havng to "play harder at both ends of the court" or "we have to play the whole 48 minutes" or "we have to trust each other." Thank god. I think he knows that would be totally unacceptable at this point.

Mike Bibby played 3 years for the Grizllies - he knows what losing is like
