Kings TV Schedule - all games televised! (Merged)

Does anybody have any insight on the 2009-10 TV Schedule. I went to my Direct TV Program Menu to see if the October 6 pre-season game is to be televised, and I saw nothing.

One cause of concern for me is I noticed the San Jose Sharks have been moved from CSN-Bay Area (Channel 696 - Direct TV) to CSN-California (Channel 698- DTV) home of the Kings. Will this move have an impact on the Kings TV schedule?

Last year games were not initially on the schedule either. But every game (including pre-season) was on, even when the guide did not show it. I hope if they have conflicts they will do something similar to Fox Sports Bay Area where they have an alternate channel. We'll see, but I would be shocked if every Kings game was not televised.

so is the kings regular season games going to be televised?
because I checked the kings schedule and all of them said radio

I thought News10 wasn't carrying any this year. Have you heard they are checking other local stations to carry a few?

That's possible.. I thought I heard on KHTK about News10 broadcasting a few games, but I could be wrong..

Any idea why News10 would not cover Kings games?

You know, everybdoy keeps saying "all the games will be televised on Comcast" or whatnot, but from what I can gather, there has been no such announcement and no such indication on the Kings' own website (am I wrong here?). Its just an assumption. I would certinaly hope a safe assumption, but somebody should really give them a call just to confirm, because not having a TV schedule up less than a week before the real games begin is just really odd.

Yup I just checked... radio stations are up... on both of the schedule on the main page and the list under the TV stations : NA or blank .....

Kinda scary.

i found this on the sacramento kings twitter

All regular season Kings games will be on TV. We will tweet the details of the broadcasts as soon as possible.

Oh boy, I sure hope so..I ordered cable TV just to watch the Kings on Comcast SportsNet and if they won't cover games it will be a disaster

I just go by what "King Napear" says every day. And according to the King, every game will be televised. And if anybody should know, The King should know.

With that said, it is extremely odd that no "official" announcement via website or otherwise has been made.

What is also frustrating, is I do not mind not having a TV pre or post game, or that the pre game on radio has been cut to a half hour. But what I wish is that on Comcast, that the Kings would produce some weekly half hour magazine, interview, insight shows that would engage their audience. For years, Bay Area teams on Comcast/Fox Sports (Giants, Sharks, Niners, Raiders, A's, Warriors, Cal, Stanford) have produced weekly shows, press conferences and the like. Also retro shows celebrating the history of the teams. The Kings have never, ever done any of that.

When the Kings developed their partnership with Comcast, I thought they said what comes with that were shows focusing around the team. However once the team started losing, and once the arena really became an issue, it seemed like the attention to the bells and whistles of broadcasting slowly deteriorated....AND THIS WAS BEFORE THE ECONOMY WENT INTO THE TANK.

Today's Sacramento Bee page C12 lists all games televised on Comcast Sports Net except the game platyed Nov.8 which will bw shown on NBA TV.

I'll be out of town for the first few games.. Anyone know if NBA League Pass is opening the season with a free preview?

Hmmmm! In researching Direct TV, I only found a $20 discount if ordered by Nov 3rd. I don't see a free preview. Last free preview was last January trying to get people to order the second half the season.

Anybody else find anything?

My local Comcast has a free preview through Nov. 3rd. I don't know if that's common nationwide, but you might get lucky!

I'm reasonably sure although not positive that the first week is free. I think I saw it on NBA.com somewhere...

OK I've done some research and it sounds good for me.
NBA League Pass Free Preview:
DirecTV, Dish Network, Time Warner Cable + maybe others
Begins October 27, 2009 & Ends November 3, 2009.

Okay! That works. Did you find that on NBA.com? I have AT&T U-verse and last I checked, they didn't even have NBA TV. Bummer! Since the season is about to start, I just might check again.
