so how much cap space do we got after this trade??
Booooooo!
This is bull****! I thought the Maloofs were not our owners any more! Best of luck to Tyreke, hope he goes on to fulfill his potential as for the front office...go **** yourselves!
We are obviously in major tanking mode! Another average year coming right up! Hope we strike it big and get the #1 pick!
It's going to be fun to watch you and the rest of the anti-Reke crowd trying to justifying why we still suck with a pure pg come mid season.
It's not being anti-reke. He's right...were are trading a iso player for a floor general. Its ignorant to not see a benefit in that. We also lost some defense at the point guard spot but we gained it at the big man spot.

To anyone that defends this move, do you honestly think if we matched the deal that a combo like Vasquez and Lopez would be the best pieces we could acquire at some point in the next year or two.
I think what this move does is clarify that Cousins is "the guy", and that they hope McLemore is gonna become his sidekick. Evans is such a "unique" talent, that you do not build around him unless you are 100% sure he is "the guy" because it makes roster building such a puzzle. Very similar but to much less extent the Allen Iversion situation.
Good get for a player you don't want. Bravo Pete!
I have a question for all of you supporting this decision... How many contending teams this year that had a superstar only had one superstar? None. Miami has three, San Antonio has (arguably) two. Memphis doesn't have any superstars so they built a good team to that suits their best players, same with Indiania (Paul george is a second-tier star imo.). So, from the top four teams, none. So if Cousins does turn into a superstar, we need to hope either McLemore becomes a star or we trade for another superstar (doubt it will happen)...
I am not liking a single bit of this move...
If the Kings matched, we would have basically had the same team as last year, with a new coach and B-Mac. Plus, it would have hurt our cap for years to come, especially if we have to give Cousins near the max. We've had a few years of Cousins/Evans and look where it took us. Yes, having a bad coach and system definitely hurt our growth, but eventually you just have to move on. I would rather keep someone like Evans and surround him with the proper teammates and system, but do you really want to invest that much money into a guy who hasn't proved to be worth it?
I am so mad, what the hell???!? What are they thinking......................... What kind of a vision is "give up a potential all star for a worse PG and average, at best, big men"! Makes no sense.
Iggy then Reke.....

Great role player guys. Now we need to trade at least 2 of the following 3: Jimmer, Thornton, Salmons for a decent starting SF. We are getting there guys. We are getting there.
All im saying is Vasquez with offensive weapons around him has a chance to lead the league in assists. Almost averaged 10 last season with a gimpy Eric Gordon and a bunch of average/mediocre players. He also plays with a fire/chip on his shoulder. I saw him surgically pick apart the Lakers last season.

Because a floor general leads to wins while an Iso guy doesn't, right? So why didn't NO win last year. And robin Lopez is a good defender but how much is he going to play. You can't always have him on the floor with cuz and we actually need guys like Patterson now for offense since we just traded our second most reliable scorer.
