Greetings, fellow Kings fans!
It's a great day here in the forest. Brilliant blue skies and cool temperatures foretell the eminent arrival of winter, and it's a welcome relief from the drought conditions we've endured all spring and summer.
I've got my favorite coffee brewing, a nice chowder simmering on the stove and I'm ready to enjoy some Kings basketball.
Word around the ol' water cooler is that Brad Miller could easily be in the best condition of his career for his return tonight. If that's true, I applaud him for learning a valuable lesson from the suspension he served.
Once Cisco is cleared to come back, we'll have the first real looks at what our Kings are going to bring to the court every night. Watching Cisco pace the sidelines and jump up to greet his teammates at every commercial break, it was easy to tell on Wednesday that he really wants to be back.
As usual, we have our game discussion thread for those who want to share their emotions, feelings, opinions, etc. during the game. All we ask is that you not be an idiot about it. A word to the wise should be more than sufficient, right?
Now for the commercial...
Kingsfans.com is a great place to come to catch up on the latest discussions, talk about your hopes and/or fears for the team, etc. We have some fantastic members who really know the game of basketball and we have newcomers who are able to join in and learn more about the game we love. All are welcome to our family-friendly board.
All this is possible because of the generosity and dedication of our board owner. If you would like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com up and running as the #1 Sacramento Kings internet community, please consider becoming a Contributing Member You're under no obligation, of course, but our Contributing Members do receive things like larger avatars, custom user titles, and first chance at tickets to group events, such as attending the opening night game at Arco with some of your favorite KF posters.
End of commercial...
Tonight, once again, I'm going to be watching for heart and hustle, energy and enthusiasm. When you see players putting forth maximum effort, it's a lot more fun to watch the games. We may not have all the most talented players in the NBA, but we have players who are, based on what I saw Wednesday, willing to commit to doing their best and helping their teammates. That's certainly a step in the right direction.
Now, I have some kindling to split and a few other chores before game time.
Let's get ready for some Kings basketball!!!
GO KINGS!!
