[Game] Kings @ Thunder Game Thread 2/15/11

If Casspi continues to match Durant's point total than I guess I can forgive the defense.

Well, we are playing better now that we have some scoring in there. Seriously Westphal. He asked for it with those starters. Just terrible terrible coaching. Aside from this being Westphal's favorite thing (12th man to starter) it makes no ****ing sense. What team does that?

:( Looks like a lot of the top prospects are leaning towards not coming out due to a potential lockout. That means we are for sure #1 pick this year!

Wouldn't it make sense for them to come into the league under the current CBA, though? Sounds like rookie contracts are going to get a lot worse after the new one.

Unless I misunderstand the way the CBA works, the current deal expires before they would even be eligible to sign. Isn't that why there's talk about a possible lockout this summer?

I think the draft is before the CBA ends, so rookies would be locked into the pay scale. It's the FA group that will get something different. Of course, I could be wrong.

On the petty side of things, I hope this is a teaching moment as to the value of Tyreke Evans to this tea,m. Been a long while since we've seen this sort of annihilation.

Yeah, goes to show how much these guys rely on Tyreke. As much as there have been complaints about Tyreke hogging the ball, and shooting too much, no one else besides Cousins seems to be able to do anything without the help of Tyreke, and the attention he receives.

I would also say mentally, the rely on Tyreke just as much. I'm a little shocked at how unprepared the guys looked tonight.

Games like this make me wonder if Westphal has any idea what he is doing. I mean, we are down our best player. We shouldnt be winning this game, but to be down like this with these unbalanced lineups ... he needs to get his head checked out.

The starting lineup included Udrih-Head-Casspi-Jt-Dalembert. Two undersized guards, a 3pt shooter and two bangers.

So he injects some offense and we play a bit better. Who woulda think it.

THEN he goes to a lineup of Udrih-Jeter-Taylor-JT-Dalembert. Under what circumstance do we need to play these players at the same time? Just because Evans is out? Thats just poor coaching.

Landry or Cousins should be in the game at all times. Udrih or Jeter should be in the game at all times. Casspi or Donte should be in the game at all times. Its not that hard.
