Greetings, fellow Kings fans!
I've discovered a sure way to make it cold and dreary outside. All I have to do is go to the hardware store, buy garden soil, bulbs and plant fertilizer and plan to do some gardening. Within 24 hours the skies cloud up and there's even talk of snow at my elevation. Luckily this isn't that unusual for this time of year so I hadn't done too much prep work yet.
I hate early Sunday games, especially those on national TV. It just always seems like the team isn't awake yet. I can remember watching Vlade in these situations and wanting more than anything else to take him down a triple-shot latte or something from Starbucks' to get him going.
The Bee pre-game stuff is pretty much a rehash of last time. The best matchup is again supposed to be Ron Artest v. Raja Bell. Since Ron missed the last game, I can't help but think it's going to be Ron vs. the Suns. With all his problems, you can't fault his desire to win. As I've mentioned before, it's part of what reminds me of the classic Shakespearean tragedies.
Okay, a sign of how far the Kings have fallen is the broadcast team doing today's game for ABC. We have Dan Patrick, Jon Barry and some other guy I don't even recognize. I know I usually gripe about Bill Walton but it's sure sad that the good broadcasters are somewhere/anywhere other than Arco...
Now just a brief reminder: Everything here is possible because of the dedication and generosity of our board owner. We truly have become the #1 Sacramento Kings Online Community, the place to come to share your hopes, dreams, fears, frustrations, etc. along with just about anything else you care to post. If you'd like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com up and running, please consider becoming a Contributing Member. You're under no obligation, of course. If you do decide to contribute, you get a couple of "thank you's" including a larger avatar, the ability to create a custom user title, and first refusal for tickets to things like the annual Kingsfans.com opening game night.
Here's hoping we have a good game, with lots of energy from the young players. At this point, I'm not rooting for wins or losses. I'm just rooting for a good, exciting game.
GO KINGS!!!
