Kings @ Spurs Game Thread

Tonight - it will be either great or awful for the Kings fans. No middle ground. Reason - TNT broadcast.
If we win it will shut up (temporaryly of course) certain comentators and analysts and it will be fun to listen to all excuses and explanations other to giveus any credit for anything.
If we lose I strongly recomand using the "mute" button and shutting down the TV imideately after the game. Even masochists around here should not go trough that.

TNT - or any combination of CB, SK and DC can cause severe nerve or digesting conditions. Usual symptoms are:
vomiting, urge to kill the voices inside TV, urge to destroy the TV, urge to spend 5 minutes wir CB in a dark room without witnesses, urge to hate TD and anything connected to Spurs even more, urge to listen to a "Walton broadcast" ( advanced symptom usually terminal).
Only cure is a Kings Victory. Everything else is terminal.
Be prepared to listen to a "Spurs worshiping" all night making TD immortal.
almost forgot - "groundhog day" and "GINOBILIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!!)

We beat Nets as a warm up for this game. PAY BACK please ! We need to remember January 2nd. I hope the Kings will be the aggressors on both ends of the floor tonight. I do not know who the referees will be but they will try to help Spurs by not calling anything short of the murder.

CW - I heard that Spurs put the ATM machine in the lockerroom just in case. Not sure about his foot. Beatin Spurs is important but not worth losing a player for longer period of time. Also is it wise to giwe FTM another chance " to finish the job."

Pedja - somebody tell Pedja that it is Jan 2nd. Lie to him! Whatever it takes. He will take a beating anyways. Might as well make the pay for it.

Brad - somebody tell Brad that we play Nets again. We need more of that - more often. When Brad plays like last game - we do not lose.

Mike - was talking about "Pay back" - Hopefully, the transformation from talking to doing works. Pick and role will be an issue but FT shooting hopefully not.

Mobley - just a good second half will not cut it tonight. Needs to be aggresive but not to struggle.

Tag - maybe he could dance in his underwear in front of the Spurs crowd. Just to spoil the night compleately. Could be vital tonight because foul trouble are expected.

Darius - hopefully little more than the usual considering the shortness of the bench.

Martin - had a great game on Jan 2nd. We want more of that - if given minutes.

RA - hopefully he can start the post game with his usual -"it was a great win " quote. Maybe there can be a miracle and he gets to outcoach Pop for a change. Let's hope he uses the bench more since it is rested after Nets game.

everyone needs to have a good solid game to win this...the spurs are tough to beat at SBC but i know we can do it...but the Spurs are no dummies they know that they totally humilated us on our on floor on Sunday and that we want to come back and have a little revenge AND don't forget they lost on Monday to the Blazers so they should be a little ticked at themselves for having a let down effortless loss...and ready to bounce back against the kings

I was just crusin spursreport.com to see what spurs fans were saying about the game...and i must say...they really pissed me off...i never let them now when im pissed off cuz they'd love to see that...though they do all respect the fact that im a kings fan...

anyways they think its gonna be on another 20+ point win for them...that we are gonna roll over and beg for mercy basically...one person called us clowns...which really pissed me off...others said that we will never be able to get over the hump...and basically broke down every player on our team...another dogged us as fans saying that we're "pretty funny"...and after reading all of that i kept my calm and said that "it should be a great game"...i think i deserve some kind of award

I'm looking forward to this game. I want to see how the Kings players come out and play. I heard that after the win last Tuesday, they couldn't wait to go against the Spurs. I hope they are more active than Sunday and I think they will!

They (spurs fans) sound pretty funny to me too. Well, I'm glad they're thinking it's another blowout. I hope their players feel the same so in that way, they won't try hard.

Although Steve Kerr and Barkley seem to have their share of Kings hatred, Doug Collins has been a fair and sensible commentator. To be honest last year, after C-Webb's return, Doug Collins was pretty much the only commentator who continued to applaud the Kings. So I don't think DC is neccesarily an enemy of the Kings.

On another note, did anyone else see the Inside the NBA session after the Cavs game where both CB and Kenny the Jet said that Chris webber deserved to be an all-star. Kenny the Jet even voted for Chris to be part of the starting lineup in the game. Theres a real turnaround....TNT giving the Kings some love?!

Is that really surprising? Certainly a game we can win, but if you forced me to bet my life on this one game, think I'd go with the Spurs too. We're not healthy, playing in their house, and coming off a 30 pt spanking at the hands of this same team less than a week ago.
