Kings @ Spurs Game Thread

Down 8 at the half, this considering that Peja isn't playing, Chris may as well not be playing, and that Kings are being outrebounded 30 to 15 according to yahoo sports when taking team rebounds into account. Miserable performance to this point.

Alright, we hang in there. But I absolutely don't want to see Eddie House anymore in the second half. I wish Petrie cut him right after the game.

At least were only down 8, we had a horrible start... Gotta play better in the second half and the starters have to play well to start the 3rd.

I disagree. The Kings defense has really stepped up. We are missing Peja, Evans, Bobby AND Webber just didn't play well in the first half. I think it's a lot better than miserable. I've mentioned it before. Judging the game by the stats just isn't accurate IMHO.

I agree, House just doesnt fit in with this team.... Kings need a real backup PG...

Did you catch the PBP talking about Horry Breaking the Kings heart in Game 6? Wasn't it in game 4?
yup it wa in game 4. For some reason everybody thinks it was in game 6. In game 6 i remember the Kings lost and Bibby got a bloody nose from Bryant......:(

well after watching that first half i will say its definetly easier playing without Chris than playing without Peja...we really don't have any one solid guy that can replace him

but down 8...its better than last time out...i like our chances we just gotta stop being some flimsy down around the basket...if all else fails get on Mike and Brads back and ride...they are the two that seem to be hitting almost everything...but im like Cats energy and effort

Hey, we're IN the game. That's probably all you could ask for given Peja's absence and Webber's in-effect absence.

It's tough when you're down by 8 to a team that turned it over 13 times in 24 minutes, though. But the rebounding edge for the Spurs is ridiculous.

All in all, though, the key differences in the game were: 1) Bibby not staying in front of Parker, and 2) those early Webb missed shots that all seemed to turn into SA points.

I liked the defense when Martin and Songaila entered, but then we were missing something on offense. Second half rotation will be interesting.

Kerr's excuse for SA right before halftime: ...maybe they were too overconfident...

KP, it was game 6. The bad reffin' game. It all happened in Game 6. EVERYTIME we play the Spurs and Horry comes in the commentator always mentions it, just pathetic. Get over it already!

We need to go inside more next half, and get to the line. Put them in penalty early and win the game with defense and FT's, yeah, that's the ticket.

They are stupid and the facts do not matter for them. They need to worship Spurs in any way possible

If I were Adelman I would have TNT on in the locker room. Just listening to Barkely and Kenny ought to be enough to motivate Brad and Webb to drop 75 points on the Spurs in the second half.

The Horry shot was 4.

Are you sure? I remember we were up 3-1 in that series, so how could it have been game 4?

Did Parker just say that "Pop will go Serbian on us" at the half time interview (in regards to 13 TO's)?

If it didn't make me swell up with pride I would swear that that was an ethnic slur... :)

I don't know about that. Pedja isn't typically very effective against the Spurs. Although I feel like tonight we're basically playing without both of them. Between Webber being ineffective (maybe the ankle pain?) and in foul trouble, he hasn't been a contributor tonight. That said, Pedja is hard to replace against most teams and I hope his back is nothing serious. Backs can be tricky, so it makes me a little nervous.

Shooting is much more worth than most people think. It opens up for everybody
