I still don't understand Rick's decision... Taking Reef out and putting the worst defensive player on the team on posessions where they HAVE to make big shots... Absolutely AWFUL decision. Could have very well cost the team the game...
Well, SAR was pretty much giving away free throws in there. Either way, your giving the other team a chance to score. And Kenny didn't do much better.

As bad as Bibby was tonight, he won't do that again so we can still win in 7.

he already did it several times this series so I am sure he can do that again and again

No. It is every player's (except Bonzi) fault tonight. They did not respond the way they should have done. I am NOT ready to give up on them yet. They can still do it. Chances are, it will be Spurs in 7, but I am still excited about this team. We need a big man to rebound and block shots. Other than that, I think that we a a great team and should be proud of the way they played at the end of the season and the playoffs with a few minor exceptions.

I STILL LOVE THIS TEAM.

agreed. but when it all clicks together at the end of the game when its importatn.. and for no reason at all.. the coach pulls the chemestry... shame shame

I don't know about you... But I would rather give Duncan 2 free throws, than give him a wide open layup.

we let this one slip guys. we coulda pulled one out on their court but didnt get enough offensive help or defensive stops to take the series lead. this could have drastically changed the possible outcome. well, friday i guess.

We missed a good opportunity to steal one in SA, again! Oh well, gotta defend here at Arco and get them in game 7 (hope the third time is the charm).

Rant...And some points.

As good of coaching as Rick has done the previous few games, he was equally bad tonight.

Why is God's name was Brad Miller in the game attempting to guard Duncan, when we have sitting on the bench.

1: Shareef Abdur-Rahim...Can at least attempt to get in Duncan's way as opposed to providing a virtually unopposed 2 foot hook shot.

2: Kenny Thomas...Who puts effort into guarding Duncan...Can slap the ball away, and can provide something that our 7 foot center is apparently alergic to, rebounds.

Brad is the wrst post defender on this team...Tonight was just pahetic, and he didnt evenm offer any sort of resistance...He didnt even foul him...When he was about 2 feet away from the rim!

Im on the trade Brad bandwagon...He isnt what this team needs.

-I HATE Manu Ginobili...I hate him more than anything...I seriously despise the man...And I hate it when he scorches us.

UGH...Im still stuck on Brad.

Horrible...

Understandable... but FT can be better than baskets... at least Reef trys

Please don't start te Rick garbage AGAIN. Why is it that when we lose the FIRST person some of you blame is Rick? Always gotta try and find anything to pin on him. Somehow it is Rick's fault for bringing Brad into the game when Bibby shoots 3-14 or somthing, and KT, Reef, and Brad are all pretty much invisible.

Sounds like it is all on Rick to me...

The spurs DID have something to do with this. This is the two time finals MVP we're talking about, it's not like you SHOULD be able to shut Duncan down in crunch time. We really lost this when we came out flat in the third. You could just as easily blame Ron for letting his defense on Manu slip the entire game.

Well, as bummed as I am right now, the guys did fight thru a pretty awful game. They were right there with 3 minutes to go against the defending champs on their home floor, where they win something like 90% of the time. Let's win in Sac and maybe we can catch that 10% side on Sunday.

Bibby's arm must really be more hurt than we think. This is just VERY uncharacteristic of him. He thrives in the playoffs. I know that he has played LOTS of minutes, but he should be acclaimated to that by now. I wonder what is really going on. ALSO, he generally plays wel against Parker, so I do not think that is it either.

As for Brad - I HAVE NO IDEAS, ANSWERS, OR SUGGESTIONS! I just do not get it AT ALL!!

Preach the truth my friend... word. I still like what brad can bring. and dont hate him, but he does look like a bafooon when he cant lay like a 7 footer.

I didnt see any of the game, i had to listen to it. Did manu get past Ron's D? or did someone else guard him?

i think that we shouldn't have been fouling ginobili because he's a good free-throw shooter. that was one of the problems. i mean, why not foul duncan? he has a better chance of missing a free-throw. ahhhh! i hope that we can learn from this.. as kingsfan52miller said... "we will be back sunday !"

Agreed, but its not much better, since TD has been knocking down his FTs pretty good.

true but at least in the other games he was making plays and getting assists. This game he did nothing.

Im never impressed by teams like SA. Same as the Kobe + Shaq era. A team as stacked as they are make the game unfair and not fun to watch at times. They have a bunch of former all stars, dunk contest winners, ect. comming off the bench?! screw them! We got the game in Sac, and the 3rd ones a charm in SA. We're winning game 7! its going to be all that much sweeter seeing there sorry faces in texas!

Great effort tonight Sac! Im proud of you guys... It would of been nice to win the series in Sac but now i guess its going to be in SA. GO SACRAMENTO!!!!!

oh and another thing on tonights loss...

way too many easy layups. Bowen should not be getting any layups in the lane, and you need to foul manu hard the first time he gets in there damn it.

Here is my 2 cents....

1. I am not blaming Rick, but I am a little curious about his choice to sub SAR out for Miller when we need defense and rebounds- both which are not Miller's strong points. I think I woulda much rather seen KT in the game or let SAR foul out first.

2. Bibby really needs to find his shot or we're in trouble. Serious trouble. I bet that turnover will kill him on the plane ride home- so maybe he'll come our ready for Game 6. Well, he should come out ready anyway.

3. I would like to see Kevin Martin get more touches on the ball in the 4th quarter. If he gets fouled, that's basically 2 automatic points.

4. Bonzi- amazing game. There's not much more to say.

5. Ginobli torched Ron tonight- maybe Ron will use that as ammo for the next game. A confident Ginobli, is a dangerous Ginobli. Manu really showed why we need some shot blocking presence down low- once he beat Ron it was pretty much green lights to the basket.

There's more but that's all for now... Game 6- let's defend our home court and bring it back to SA!!! I don't know about the Kings, but I know the Kings fans aren't ready to see the season come to an end.

Manu pretty much scorched Ron tonight...

It didnt help that right after he'd get past Artest at the three point line people like Brad (and everyone else) would just stupidly stare at him as he makes an uncontested layup.

What? You guard people that are about to make layins and provide rotational defense? Oh...yes.

One more player bash...Bonzi's defense.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE Bonzi Wells, and he was the only reason we had a chance in this game, but when you do not guard Bruce Bowen AT ALL on a night when he is on really irks me...One point that looms large to me is on a fast break...Bowen catches it in the corner, and Bonzi lays back, and of course Bowen makes it completly uncontested.

Defense...
Defense..
Defense.

if he doesn nothing in game 2 we win it.

Mike is having pretty poor series overall, mostly because of Brad sucking big time.
