Well, this hurts our lotto odds but I suppose a hard fought road woss on the second night of a back to back can be seen as a moral victory of sorts if you squint hard enough!
Having a more defined roster that allows him to focus 100% on scoring has to help. And maybe he finally burned off that 10 pounds of new muscle he didn’t seem to be using
Trading Tyrese did seem to help, even if it hurt the offense's spacing. I don't know if he's lost the weight so much as learned how to use it better. He's not doing too many of those rocket shoe full court drives anymore but he is finishing through contact better than he did before.
I find it odd that people would complain about fox on a night he scored 26 points on 50% shooting and 40% 3pt, got 9 assists and 0 turnovers and 3 steals and a block in a win. Is it cuz they didn’t get enough complaining in after last night or what?
Ankle is pretty serious for Bagley who missed like 4 months with a hangnail.
I commented a few nights ago after the injury in the NBA nothing thread. There was a lot of talk about how he was really getting to show what he's capable of but it was essentially the same result over 4 games. Looking like his fragility wasn't just a "don't want to be here" thing either. Some elite super athlete he turned out to be.
Baby steps. It’s improving, but majority of his passes still shade his left hand. No skip passes.
There are simple things that he could do right now that wouldn’t even take much. Like copying most of what Domas does before the dribble or after the dribble.
I want this last game by Fox to be his identity going forward - the rebounds, the steals, the defense and the offensive efficiency. This should be the Fox that we see on a consistent basis.
At the 2015 Nike Basketball Academy, he measured 6’10’’ w/ shoes with a 6’10.5’’ wingspan and 238 lbs. At the NBA combine, Cousins measured in at 6’10.75” w/ shows with a 7’5.75” wingspan and 292 lbs.
Reasonable to suggest Cousins has at least an inch over Sabonis but Cousins wingspan is wayyy longer (7.25” difference).
