Pistons finally lost. On the other hand Kings 4-5 ( same as Lakers) in quest to .500. First winning streak of the season which could be extended to 3 if Kings can continue to improve. Additionally, we are 1-0 on the "new server" and have not lost a game in a week. Clippers and Warriors leading our division at the moment but since we are talking abbout Clippers and Warriors - thing will get back to "normal" as the season progresses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After several meltdowns - our core seams to be stabilizing causing the team to win "mre often than not." I figure we would be 8-7 in November and we will if we win one of the next two games. This one is more winable and we should take advantage of it. I hope that Adelman will do whatever it takes rather than considering "back to back. " If we play our best (whatever that might be at the moment) we can beat Sonics who are worse than they were in the PO. On the other hand even if we play our best - it still might not be enough against the Spurs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last game against the tired Bucks showed many promising things but also room for improvement that should make us optimistic (had to check dictonary for the meaning of this word;)) for tonight. Mike clearly won the "head to head" against T.J. Ford with help of his teammates. Ridenour hopefully next. Pedja showed more than one dimension. Everyone else played well but the bench. Kings should ask the NBA to cancel first 5 minutes of every 2nd quarter thwy play. Awful. One thing that did not go well is 3pt shooting. I will "go on a heuge limb" saying that Kings will not shoot 1-13 from "downtown" in "too many" games. Also there will not be many more games in which Pedja will not have a three. FT - shooting is a problem and probably not fixable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sonics - memories still fresh. They are also 4-5 and not as good as they were last year. Jerome "trashbag" James is gone. So is A. Daniels which is a good news for Mike. If we can rebound decently and limit Allen and Lewis to a point - we can win this. Unfortunately - we can't be sure which Kings will show up. Hard to predict. We can hope that our bench will finally earn those couple minutes of playing time but we can't count on it. Off topic question. Is it more likely for Bonzi to lead the league in assists or for Pedja to win a dunk competition ?:p
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - been criticized (deserved) for his poor play especially on defense. This time he deserves a praise for his effort in the last game. Luke is next and there is nothing wrong with "payback"
Pedja - let's hope that his fingers are well enough for him to continue agressive play. Basically, whatever he is on lately - we should continue to supply him with. Promised to attack the basket. I will hold him to it. Pedja on the FT line - I will take it any time. He has got to hit a three tonight.
Brad - been kinda inconsistant on the quarter basis. Still improving. Hopefully can "find" Ridenour in traffic tonight:eek:. Just to say "hi"
SAR - FTs is an issue here. It tooks us several years till CW became good FT shooter. We don't have that time now.
Bonzi - great effort but sometimes drives me crazy with ill adviced decisions. Maybe he can say "Hi" to Ray and force him in the post.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bench - Kevin Martin has contributed the most. Thomas has been "so,so". The rest just runs around for a reason certainly unknown to me. Not m,any things are more painfull to see ikings bench all playing at the same time. Come one guys !
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - again, I hope that he will compleately focus on tomorow's game. We can winn this. Please, only 2 bench players at the same time. My eyes are hurting.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seattle. Not laying well but that makes them dangerous. Mateen has to be favorite for "Tony Delk award" His career high is 19 if I am not misaking. Expect Collison & Evans to have lot's of offensive rebounds. Radmanovic really sucks at the moment ( is on my fantasy team - so I know). Never know when he will hit some shots becuse even a "blind chicken finds a corn sometimes." Let's not forgrt DFF who is my candidate for technical foul of the day (or flagrant or throwing a chair). Let's hope he does not hurt anyone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Bulls !

Clippers play Worriors in the "clash of the titans of the pacific" - so if we win we will gain a game on someone.

After Luke got laid out, this exchange took place.

Coach Nate Mcmillan: Luke, do you know where you are?

Luke Ridnour: At the game.

Nate: Do you know who I am?

Luke: Yeah, you're Coach.

Nate: Do you know who you are?

Luke: I'm Batman!

Good thing about this game is that its like Phoenix -- nobody is going to squeesh us and we should be able to run the offense and score totally unfettered and not having to worry about that nasty "defense" stuff some teams will throw at you. Wiht bump and thump out of the rotation until Bob Weiss gets his *** fired (and what a great hiring that was -- recycled garbage?), I don't see that much the Sonics have to hurt us with other than barrage of threes if our perimeter people get lazy on defense

It's very refreshing to know that we can win back-to-back games. To have the effort there and sustain it for two games is great. I think it's a momentum builder for us going into (tonight's) game against Seattle.
It's a team that really beat up on us and took it to us in the playoffs. It's great for us to have these two wins to have some momentum and try to get a victory up there.

Hopefully it's something we can build on. Something we can be accustomed to, playing hard just like we did these last two games.

It's definitely still fresh in my mind the way last season ended. The way the season ended in the playoffs was disappointing. I believe that was a team we could have beaten had we had the effort.

When they brought it to us, and they were physical to us, we didn't have enough effort to fight back. But I know the effort will be there (tonight). That left a bad taste in our mouths, and the only way to get that out is to come out playing hard.

It's Gametime. We need to get some payback, this is the game, this is the time. Let's win this game and get on a roll. I'm looking for another big game from the Big Three.
