Can't do the game thread for the Wizards game

No winning streak again as Kings fail to win 2 consecutive games at home. Kings are 15-22 and 12-8. Kings are on their way to the 6 game road trip where they will try to imprive the 3-13 road record. Only 5 other teams have only 3 road wins and yes you guessed it - they all suck. Kings have lost 8 out of their last 10 mainly because we can't play the Nuggets every night.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Road trip ! 6 games in 9 days - opportnity for Kings to bond more as a team and to win some more games because some of the opponents are very beatable. Sixers are first and Kings will look for payback. Wizards are second game in a back to back set and Kings will try not to get shot. After an off day on Sunday Kings will have a diffiucult task against the Bobcats who are good at home. After another day off Kings will go to Atlanta which will be a very difficult game. No easier will be in Orlando and Miami as back to back set. Kings might win few games here but even winning one game would be okay.

Bad Santa! over a month before the christmas and only one day after I submited my list Santa sent me another pair of used underwear. That is just mean. Clear message telling me - dream on boy. Hilton Armstrong - really ? Are we turning into "rent a roster spot" franchise ? Is is going to be just like any other year where we are watching other teams getting better ? Are we waiting for some flexible pieces to take Kevin's place ? What thought procces will get you to the point to say - yes Hilton Armstrong can help us. Help us do what ? Hilton Armstrong is another god given waste of "7 feet." Isn't it enough to watch what we have night after night wondering why out opponents have players that we desperately need. I am sick and tired of this things. This better lead to something because I can't imagine trade talks where on GM will say - sure we will take Armstrong without a big fat "BUT" in the sentence.

White choclate still got it. JWill was great last night. Easily best PG on the floor and at the end there was that behind the back pass. 10 years ago he wasn't this composed and "normal" but he probably grew up some playing for bunch of great coaches. It was weird watching him pull back the fast breaks last night because it is against his somewhat reckless nature but more than once did I say last night - "couldn't you do this a decade ago Jwill ?"

Monster in the middle - D12 was so scarry that Kings missed way too many layups. He was brutally doninant in every part of the game. He made defensivelly pathetic Orlando guards look like great defenders, made our players look like scared kids. He dominated us, he abused us and there was nothing we could possibly do. All I have to say is - I want one of those ! Pair it up with Evans and enjoy the next decade or so.
----------------------------------------------------------------
He is back for now. Kevin will play on Friday his 6th game of the season. His durability is measured in milimeters anyways. We don't know what will happen but we know that Kevin hasn't played 50+ games in a season for a long time and that it is a good probability that he will sit out more games for various reason. If we get a good offer - trading him would be a good idea just because his durability.

Magic proved to be too much or better said 3 quarters of good basketball and a brain fart in the 33-10 4th quarter weren't good enough to beat the Magic who didn't impress but were solid enough. Kings had their realistic chanch in the first half when they needed to be up 15 but instead chose to miss bunch of layups. Their bench and D12 killed us. We had no answers defensively and offensively we just decomposed. We were up 78-76 and Magic went on a 12-2 run and the finished us off. D12 had more rebounds than Hawes, Thompson and Brockman combined. That is just wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
my matchups:

Evans vs Orlando back court - Evans had a bad game. He might never miss so many layups again unless D12 is that scary

Barnes & J Will vs TDM - JWill all the way

Brockman vs Gortat - John Brockman deserves more playing time

Pietrus vs Nocioni - who is the Kings of bad shots ? Noc this time although there were other playes doing much worse

KT, JT. Hawes. Brockman, May vs 20+ fouls - 10 fouls from 3 players - and no they couldn't guard a chair with no wheels
--------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME

TDM - Pietrus had fun. Never had so many easy dunks/layups before

LW-VC -Lewis wasn't even needed

JHA - Greene was pretty bad

MIKKI - Jason Thompson has been disappointing again and defended his title

SAR - Metuselah - Lewis moved like a dead cow

RA&1 - J.J. Reddick - euroleague is crying for him

Jax/Walk - J.J. Reddick. 0-6 and not one was even close

WTF moment of the game - last 0.3 seconds of the first half. They felt like eternity

Sixers are next and they are playing better. We own them a beating so that is good. Marting will play some which is "good" too right ? Dalambert is no D12 but he can still be dangerous under each basket. Brand is playing better too. Basically, they are the team that kicked our bitt in Sacramento not too long ago. They made all their shots that night. We need to play better defense and make better decisions. Also - how big adjustment will Kevin's comeback be ? We certainly can win this but ...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
my matchups:

Evans vs Igoudala - Tyreke missed the first meeting. Will he bounce back from alst night ?

Dalambert vs Blockparty - can he block more than 5 shots ?

Kevin vs Tyreke or Kevin & Tyreke -will it work ?

Thompson vs lack of brain and balls - will he show up ?

Holliday vs TDM - Will holliday have a holliday ?

Sixers vs 3pt shooting - they can't shoot 56% again - can they ?
-------------------------------------------------
Evans - make a layup
Thompson - fugly
Greene - that was bad
Casspi - great effort, unlucky shooting
Udoka - back to reality

Kevin - welcome back hopefully for more than 5 games
Brockman - awesome
Hawes - nothing
Udrih - not bad

rest = mateen
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Sixers have a game tonight but they are currently 12-25 but won their last couple games. They are healthier and can not be underestimated. They are only 5-12 at home. Iverson plays under more control and Brand played well as of late. TDM will go to Holliday. Igoudala will get the TDM. Kings need this one.

Amicks Twitter says that Martin is starting with Evans, Casspi, Thompson, and Hawes. Personally, I'd rather have Greene in there but oh well. I just think Greene would fit in better with those guys. Give us a defender out there....

I think we're going to see KMart play much better defense this year. The Kings team defense has improved a lot in the past few weeks and I think that will help Kevin. I know he only played in 5 games but one thing I noticed about him early on was his ability to play the passing lanes and pick up steals. He averaged 2 steals a game in the 5 games he played which is 1 better than his career average. If he can continue to do that and buy into the team defense concept then I think he will be okay.

Talked to Doc, Tyreke's older brother, and he said since that his is Reke's first game back in Philly that he's probably going to be tired from all the running around town he's had to do the past couple days.

Looking forward to Kevin. If Hilton is available didnt he average around 12 mpg. Its going to be interesting to see if 1) he gets PT 2) how effective will he be. He can't be worse defensively as JT and Hawes so that is already something that he can help us with.

I pick something that's not in the pool - Kings will win all 6 road trip games!:) It would be awesome if we'd actually accomplish that now when Kevin is back. I was watching Philly against NOH and they won it at home, but just because NOH was really bad.

Go Kings!

I read somewhere, maybe the sacbee Kings blog, that Hilton Armstrong is not ready to play yet. He needs more time to adjust to our system. So I wouldn't count on seeing him on the court.
