Kings sign Jones, waive Watkins

Just as an aside for everybody, but when posting youtubes, if there are options please try to avoid the ones with vile songs consisting of 1 part N-words to 2-parts mother****er if you could. I understand with Dahntay Jones you probably have to take what you can get, but on behalf of all those younger or more innocent than myself:

did you not mean "as innocent"? ;)

He is not going to be a combo guard, especially not a shooting PG like Bibby gets away with. Why again didn't we draft Rondo, Farmer, or the PF Boone? GP's facination with short/tall for their position shooting guys is really getting annoying (Miller shooting 3s at Center along with Douby at SG).

Douby is and always WILL be a 2 guard, and nothing less. We need to quit with the experiments already. Francisco cant run the point effectively enough to be considered a viable backup at the point, either. If we have no minutes for Q at the 2, the we need to package him up and trade him for something, there must be a team out there looking for a skinny, yet athletic 2 guard that loves to shoot. Let's not let this get as far as our Travis Mays experiment back in the day.

Petrie made a big mistake during that draft year, right now farmar and rondo are doing well as a pg and have confidence in their game...knowing that we have a bunch of sg/sf players he still opted for a 2 guard type of a player.

I dont blame douby cause he cannot do what he is forced to do,play him with the warriors and there he would flourish...its just using the strength of the players in a right way and not force feeding them

The PF Boone wont pan out. Just like Armstrong. They are just not NBA players. But those two PGs would have been fine behind Bibby. One thing though... Seems that we got a better player in Beno to backup the PG spot once Bibby is back. He already had proven he is capable of spot starting.

One thing that's a plus for Douby... At least in 3 years (after drafting him) we can dump him w/o worrying to offer him an extension right? ;)

I am thinking the same might go for Garcia if he continues to play out of control. I am wondering when Petrie is going to pick up those last two years or offer extension. Or if he does than how much will it be? 5 years at 30 Mil? 6 years at 35?
