Kings shopping Thompson

I'm not saying it's a great trade. I don't know enough about Teague to have an opinion. In fact, after last night's showing (10 points on 4-of-4 shooting, five rebounds, a block and a steal in 17 minutes), I'm not sure that JT shouldn't be getting more playing time.

On the other hand, JT could be a good piece if the Kings decide to try to do something to upgrade their talent pool. Home losses Minnesota and Detroit -- an in particular the offense's failings -- are a big red flag.

Sorry, I'm not buying this one. Teague has done nothing in the NBA yet. He's shooting 21% from 3pt range and under 40% overall. I didn't like Teague coming out of college and I still don't like him. That aside, I just don't see Petrie trading a 6'11" PF thats proven he can average 12 pts a game and around 8 boards a game for a 6'2" player, that so far has averaged nothing, and would bring nothing to the team.
Its also sheer rumor. Absolutely no source cited.

He would bring defense to the backcourt, no doubt. He has more quickness than anybody on the Kings current roster. I can see why there would be inquiries about him. Everybody can see what happens to Beno on the defensive end.

I know Boston needs an active big who can play big minutes when needed. With both O'Neils in and out of the lineup, and Perk out till at least December, they could use an active, energetic, full size big man.

Lucky for us they actually have a young player who can help this team. Avery Bradley. I really liked him last year for texas. He is kind of a Combo guard in the mold of a Delonte West or even Beno Udrih, but thats exactly what we want next to Reke right? He is a fantastic defender though and good deep shooter. I mentioned in the draft thread how I thought he'd be a great fit with Evans.

I know Boston really likes him, but they signed up Nate for 2 years, Rondo is under contract for a while, and if Delonte plays like Delonte, I dont see why they wouldnt sign him again. He is going to struggle to find playing time on that team, were Thompson could come in and help right away.
Luckily for Thompson's fans here in Sacramento, Boston usually have interest on BIGS with a high basketball IQ.:p

I liked Teague as a Jason Terry-esque PG, but he's being hampered by a lack of range and some poor defense as of now. Even in college he didn't shoot a high volume of threes, so it shouldn't have been that surprising. But for JT, an established cog player in this league, Teague needs to prove more than that.

Why would we shop a young big?! At the worst he's a big off the bench with energy. Dear FO, shop Landry and his expiring contract.

Dumb@sses

He also has more trade value IMO. I think he'd net a better return for that playoff team looking for that extra push to win it all.
