Wow that's terrible. Vivek really wants that 8th seed and nothing else

While stranger things have happened, I'm just looking at Gasol's track record. If he wasn't putting up all star numbers, I'd say we have a shot at getting him back and mentoring the young guys. Like KG, when he realized he could no longer contribute he went to help mentor players and get a paycheck.
Anyways, 3 minutes to the deadline, looks like we caused ruckus over nothing.

So nothing. lol
****ing hell, this team is the worst.
Is there a bigger glaring weakness in the entire league than Sacramento's perimeter defense?! Seriously.
Is doing nothing right now really the worst thing we could have done? The team is in the process of looking for a GM and head coach. Perimeter defense is a huge concern, but i for one think that the system is more important than the individual players. We need a new system first before we decide which players fit best. I would have welcomed some defensive moves today, but the playoffs are a long shot this season anyways, it may be smarter just to stay put.

There is always the offseason to move those players who don't want to be here. Plus, I don't get the sense that those players are as disgruntled as a random tweet would have us believe. Butler, if I recall, was one of the players who disputed the idea that Karl had optional practices or that only 3-4 people showed up.Lets ask Rudy Gay, Caron Butler and Ben McLemore.
If you think a 40% win team is all of the sudden going to win 70% of their games you have a lot more confidence in this group than I do.Playoff run not out of reach. Looks like Memphis just folded. Traded Green for Stephenson. They have a good chance of dropping out of the playoffs.

The difference being that in the West this year it hardly takes 70% winning to get in. It would to matter of course.
The 7th and 8th seed are .500. Assuming they continue on same pace we need to win about 70% of our remaining games....19-10 or 20-9 or thereabouts. The difference being that in the West this year it hardly takes 70% winning to get in. It would to matter of course.

Jeff Green isn't that good. And if the Griz win 25% of their games the rest of the way? And drop to 37 wins.

That may be but I was addressing the notion that the Grizzlies will only win 25% of their games without him.He is to the Clips with the Blake Griffin situation.
Possibly viewed as the lesser of two evils. Can him with nothing lined up and possibly have a repeat of the disaster of last year? All the while continuing the story line of a franchise in disarray. Some of this is unsubstantiated rumor (Darren Collison already denied the report that said he wanted out) but I suspect George Karl is the main issue for all of them. Rudy Gay was happy to be here last year up until we pulled the rug out from under him and the rest of the team with the Malone firing. Caron Butler looked happy to be a Sacramento King in the off-season. Ben didn't seem to have a problem until Marco got all of his minutes despite doing nothing to earn them. If George Karl has got 1/3 of the team asking out after half a season, the question remains why is he still here?

No way this team makes the playoffs. .500 is going to be needed to be at least the 8th seed. This team isn't good enough to overcome being 9 games under .500.
