I will go on record as saying that if I were a GM of a team that had any kind of shot at a title this year I would do deal to get a "rent-a-Ron." The dude can just be beast and it is worth the risk IMHO.

Reason that we came back is because the no defense Bibby and flop defense Martin were sat down. It should happen more often. It is only way for Kevin to understand that it is a 2 way sport. As for Bibby - I don't really care.

cleveland has been cursed for a long time and they finally got LeBron

maybe the same thing will happen for us in 20 years

Okay, I need an explanation about what is so cursed about a team leaving a shooting specialist wide open for an open three and him, gee shocker it must be the evil gods, predictably knocking it down. Not as if we batted the ball to him. We screwed up. We lose. Cursed has nothing to do with it.

I think the problem is nobody knowns Novak, or what he can do. He's shooting a merer 56% from 3pt land this year. If we had left Peja wide open and he had drained that would it be bad luck?

You beat me to it...Cleveland has THREE major sports teams that havent won a title in over 40 years...I know we're cursed, but THAT is damn cursed...at least if you want to say the Red Sox and Cubs are cursed, at least Boston and Chicago has plenty of titles with their OTHER teams, i.e.: Bulls, Bears, Celtics, Patriots, etc...Cleveland, man...I was really pulling for them last year against the Spurs, even though I knew the Spurs were better, you just cant help but feel for that city. We're cursed, but on a whole other level compared to them...and just because they got Lebron doesnt mean the curse ends, they still havent won anything yet, and he could walk when his contract is up and they're right back to where they were before.

yes. when will ron be traded so kevin can return to form?

That's a good one. And another one might be: Why has Martin been absent in two 4th quarters of two close games? In one situation, Douby was incredible. Tonight, no guard was very good, yet Martin wasn't on the floor. Why?

Novak came into the league as a shooting specialist, so, scrub or not, hot or not, he's probably going to hit any open shot we give him. It seems that Houston's having more trust in its young players--Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry have played well for them, and now this Novak kid comes in and his clutch play may lend an establishment for increased minutes. I just wish we'd have given the open three pointer to Rafer Alston instead--yes more established, but an increased chance of missing as well.

Peja Syndrome? j/k... :o

I'm guessing it was his lack of D that cost him minutes tonight. Same for Bibby. I think Reggie decided it was time to try something other than the usual jumpermania roster.

We have GOT to trade Ron Artest right now. We don't need a guy that takes over a game and leads us back from a 17 point defecit. There is no room for a player like that on this Kings team.

P.S. **** Steve Novak

I agree totally.

I listened to the houston announcers and it seems we have a worse outlook on Ron than ppl outside of Sacramento do. They are saying he don't get the ball enough that he can do this every night and is an all-star caliber player. I bet they would say WTF if they saw some of the threads in here.

That's great news! I hope the GM of the Rockets hears it, believes it and gives Petrie a call.

They also don't watch the offense die every game when he gets the ball. Tonight, his crap shots were falling, and we still lost. What I am saying is, we don't play defense anyway, so if we ship him outour opp ppg wont change much.

BTW whoever said "I wonder what would happen if Mikki Moore and Kwame Brown decided to play catch" owes me a new shirt. Not really, but man the coffee i was drinking went spewing. Quote of the day.

That 4th was as good a quarter as Ron has ever played as a a King. It is amazing the effect he can have on a game. I hope GMs around the league take notice...

And it's that potential that brought him to us in the first place. The only problem is we're not going anywhere at this point in time and Ron needs a team with a strong path. Even if you forget about the ticking and all the other stuff, he's still made it abundantly clear he won't be satisfied with .500. He wants to go for a championship and there are teams out there - especially in the Western Conference - that are going to look on this performance and really think long and hard about bringing him in as the "hired gun" to help push their team to the highest level.

And that would be good for everyone.
