I don't care about bad takes. Everybody who is sincere has bad takes from time to time, sometimes they're even aggressive about it, sometimes they have a really high bad-take batting average. Whatever. But reneging on a charity bet? That's where I draw the line. And it's beginning to look like history may repeat itself.
Has anyone considered that he may have just died? It isn't nice to speak ill of the dead.
Yeah the whole point of a charity bet was to "put up or shut up" about your take and no matter the outcome, at least you're benefiting a cause.

The bet was that if Domas didn't immediately get the Kings into the play in LAST season, Monte would be sacked by the all-star break.

It's a frustrating team, because they're young and full of energy, so they could theoretically run us out of the gym, but they're dumb enough to be incapable of doing so.
There are pieces you could build around, but right now I don't see a vision, just a collection of assets.
And in the end, if the design is collect assets, develop assets, collect assets, develop assets, establish vision, trade developed assets to actualize vision...then it could work, and they're just early stage.
To be honest, we did a pretty poor job of the whole vision part until we paired Fox with Domas.

We did a pretty poor job because, if you REALLY take a couple of steps back and look at the whole picture, we actually did not have much of a vision.
That was mostly due to incompetent management though.

Lets see what kinda defense Houston has tonight after their coach ripped into their effort so hard.
I thought that was solid coaching/strategy by Silas. Houston, as constituted, unless Jalen Green goes crazy 4 quarters in a row, can't hope to match our offense, so the move is to try and get the defense to give all its got..

I don't envy the Houston coach. It's difficult enough to get buy-in with vets, but when there is a young team each one of them is thinking of how they score the max for themselves so they get can get their first big contract. I'm glad the Kings have passed that stage.
