Reportedly he isn't locked up anymore. Which explains
interest.
Realgm is not a very detailed place
Javtokas is free to sing with the NBA team because he is out of contract with his current team and as a result the NBA team doesn't have to buy out Javtokas' contract.elitedude said:Javtokas contract had a time limit of 4 years. According to Rytas owner, he can sign with any Nba team he wants, starting soon. They are already planing on not having him on the team next season.
I have also learned that a player, pavel cuikinas is in the draft but he will not get signed imo. He still needs time and go back to rytas. He is 21 or 22.
I don't know bodiroga's situation and wasn't talking about it.

Kev.in said:It doesn't matter what their owner says. If he said that, he's wrong. What makes Javtokas different from every other 2nd round pick who was drafted and then did not attend a training camp or sign a contract? I have never seen anything that indicates the Spurs have renounced their rights to Javtokas. If he's coming to the NBA, he's going to be a Spur or he's going to the team that can trade for the rights to sign him.

7'1 255lbs.... plays in the high post, okay... something that thomas couldnt really do... play in the high post and pass the ball.... not grow 6 inches.... that would be nuts if he could though... lol....
BigSong said:He doesn't seem to be developed enough to give us any help right now. I'd like to see Tiago Splitter come on board for us. More developed 7-footer, has the potential to be a good defender, although being a rookie he might be foul prone in the beginning.
I have seen him play and for the life of me I can't figure out why people believe he is NBA prospect. He is hopeless and thats coming from a Partizan supporter.AriesMar27 said:okay... i hate to end this unenlightening conversation about foreigners.... but what about Peja Samardziski? yeah... i know, another foreigner... but he looks like he would be a good fit.... he's like a young divac according to scouting reports.... if he can hang with the big boys he would be a good pick up and the kings could move miller to the pf position.... cause honestly, i dont believe anything about this team becoming better defensively.... i just dont, short of a serious trade....

Yup, I saw alot of Kambala when I lived in Vegas, too. Not what we need, IMO.Diabeticwonder said:I saw Kambala quite often while he played at UNLV. He is a tough physical player who relies more on his toughness than his abilities. He is slow, which does him more harm on the defensive end when defending in the post, but he leaves everything on the floor and he's one of those guys that when you are cheering for the opposing team you end up hating him by halftime. I'm sure he has fine tuned his skills in Europe the last few years and I'm not sure this would be a bad pickup for the Kings since Petrie & Co. would rather have someone who could play right now rather than having to develop someone over time and Kambala could come in right now and provide some good minutes whereas someone straight from college would most likely be relegated to 11th or 12th man status. He seems like the type of player that Petrie would like and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him in a Kings uniform next year.
