Whatever ill will Monte has at this point is well earned. Didn't put his big boy pants on this summer and unless he's just a shield for Dumars he's watched much of whatever plans there were kind of blow up in his face whether it's his fault or not. Now is not the time for sitting on hands Monte.

They can't even showcase right. 12 shots in 26 minutes won't produce the numbers they need. If they are honestly trying to rehab Bagley and Buddy value and watch their team sink in the process then flush it all. haha.
I saw a little bit of first quarter and a little bit of second quarter action. Pretty awful but not unexpected. There isn't really much point in playing the games at the moment.
The thing is, now that we have a coach who is at the very least not an incompetent nincompoop, I don't think that'll happen. This is the sort of game we'd have frustratingly lost under Walton.
Tyrese will be safe as long as nobody treats him like he's the #1 guy we're building around. No "I'm gonna lead this team to the playoffs", no talk of how he's a superstar (until he actually is one), no passing on drafting Luka frikin Doncic because you don't wanna take the ball out of his hands. Honestly, if Fox didn't have bad body language this season 80% of fans would probably still be unwilling to trade him.
I dare say the whole NBA record playoff drought thing looming and coinciding with Fox's first year on a max deal also has something to do with fan "impatience"
We'd draft Chet with the first overall pick only for him to break his hip to the point of no longer being able to play basketball immediately after signing his contract.

I think this is a pretty good read on Hali. He's an elevator, enhances your other star players, but he's not someone you build your team around. A lot of similarities between him and early Lonzo.
we wouldn’t trade Fox. Same brain trust that wouldn’t move Harrison Barnes for Nesmith and Boston’s first. A trade that would have netted us the 7th lotto spot which became Scottie Barnes who just kicked our ass.

Feels like we're ignoring the forest fire for the trees when it comes to this though since I feel like the only guy who doesn't have terrible body language on the Kings is Vivek Ranadive.

Definitely shouldn't be looking for him to give you 20 points a game. Nobody is double teaming a Tyrese Haliburton iso. Maybe more like (old) Iguodala-lite at this point, minus the defense. Great glue guy who will look amazing on an already well-oiled team. Doesn't look great when he passes up open shots and layups to try for assists to bench role-playing bigs.
You know why the Kings paid him that much. It's the Kings tax - it's not unique to Hield. If anything, it's unique that we got Richaun on such a good deal.
Next 10 below Fox's paygrade for example:
Donovan Mitchell
Bam
Tatum
Al Horford
Lowry
Jaylen Brown
Derozan
Draymond
Vucevic
John Collins
Gentry sure used the word, "quit," a lot in his post-game pressure. "I'm not going to quit." "I'm not going to let them quit." Etc., etc. Did a player ever come out to face the media, or were they all in hiding?
