[Game] Kings @ Raptors 11/01/12

Dime Dropper

All-Star
Hopefully this will go better than last night. They have a better record than us at 4-6, but they're by no means more talented. If we play together this is a winnable game, although we've been terrible on the road.

Keep it competitive til the end and I'll be somewhat happy. Don't know if I can handle another blowout. This game will be a lot tougher next year when they have Valanciunas and another draft pick.

I read on twitter that he's out for tonight's game

damnit

winnable games going by the wayside due to that injury. My fear is that if we get ourselves 10 games uner .500 or whatever early that guys start to check out along with the fans thining this is another lost season and there is no hope. We just need to keep some sort of remote touch with the playoff pack. Jimmer better to cough up another furball tonight. He's needed, Marcus's shots are there, its time to make a positive contribution and establish himself in this league

This game is big for me. I live near Toronto, all my friends are Raps fans. If you Kings players are reading this, please set your modes to "destroy'.

Evans will be able to abuse their guards.. (Calderon, Barbosa, Bayless).. so im expecting a huge game from him.

We have no business getting blown out by Toronto so while I do expect a loss, I think it's going to be a 8-10 point win for Raps. All around, it's probably one of those unwatchable games but we watch anyways cause we can't help ourselves :\

They'll probably put Derozan on him.
I remember Tyreke humiliating him in his rookie year (do you guys remember that sick layup Evans did completely overpowering Derozan on his way to the rim? I do), but last year of course it was a bit of a struggle.

Forget Toronto, we won't beat FC Barcelona if coach makes a habit of pulling Reke and DeMarcus out before the first timeout of the half.

3 keys for tonights game:

1) Movement, movement, movement!
2) Stay out of foul trouble DMC.
3) You have an open teammate, don't settle in being a chucker.

You are DEAD ON with this fear, I fear.

I fear that unless the Kings stay in the playoff hunt for at least the 1st half of the season, than they will have a completely de-energized fanbase going into the time where they HAVE to put up a commitment to build the new arena.

It pisses me off when I constantly hear Grant Napier (and some KF's) saying "The Arena deal and the Kings play are completely separate, you fool."

Of COURSE they are linked together! What kind of fanbase wants to pony up half a billion dollars (with huge sacrifices of public monies that could otherwise go to improving the Community Center, etc ect etc) if/when the team has made NO strides towards becoming a competitive NBA team in FIVE YEARS?!

These games are VITAL, and laying eggs and not having them at least close in the 4th quarter is one of the most sure ways of having little support for the new arena deal, IMO. Players GOT to step up. Sacramento can't wait for them to work it out. Play time is over, kiddies - it's time to show that you're ready for prime time.

How many games does Salmons have to suck before we take him out of the starting rotation... He's proven nothing. I know there aren't much better options behind him but we should give it a shot.
