Kings Playoff Standings Watch!!!

Why does everyone keep saying it’s been 16 years since we made the playoffs? It’s 17 years. I think people are counting the end year date of when we made it last and the beginning year date of this season. Not a big deal, just find it annoying lol
I think it's because the streak is 16 seasons. '07-'22 is 16 seasons. You don't count the current year

For the THIRD straight day, the Kings had a chance to clinch a top-6 playoff slot, but couldn't get the job done and didn't get the help they needed. It was rare 0-for-5 for the Kings. Disappointing, but just a short delay of the inevitable. Would have been nice to do it at home. Oh, well.

Today's games (6):
PHX def. Jazz
DEN def. Sixers
NOP def. Blazers
MIN def. SAC
LAC def. Bulls

Magic Number To Eliminate (TB=TieBreaker):
DEN (51-24) 14, 7 games remaining, TB 1-1, 1 to play (winner gets TB)
MEM (47-27) 11, 8 games remaining, TB goes to Kings if they win the Pacific Division, otherwise goes to Memphis
SAC (45-30) --, 7 games remaining
PHX (40-35) 3, 7 games remaining, TB goes to team with better division win%
GSW (39-37) 1, 6 games remaining, TB=Warriors
LAC (40-36) 1, 6 games remaining, TB=Kings
--- Playoffs ---
MIN (39-37) 1, 6 games remaining, TB=T'Wolves
NOP (38-37) 1, 7 games remaining, TB=Pelicans

Tomorrow's games (3):
Magic at MEM, 5 PM
NOP at GSW, 7 PM --> Loser is eliminated! Furthermore, if the loser is GSW, the Kings secure a top-6 playoff spot.
Curious why Golden State loosing clinches is a spot as NO and Minn just move up in the standings.

Just a total implosion by the Pelicans. Offensive rebounds that turned into threes was the big culprit. Teams are going to have to start changing the way they teach rebounds on 3 attempts. We think that’s a kings problem but it happens everywhere including college women’s bball. It often results in open threes too because the guards come up to try to grab the board and inevitably someone is hanging on the perimeter waiting for a catch and shoot

The Warriors are not to be messed with. The just turned a 20 deficit into a 15 point win. Just completely blew the doors off the place. If we faced them with our historical offense I'd like to have the fire department on site as a precaution.

The Warriors remind me of a 75 year old one-armed lumberjack. Yes they've got experience, yes they've got some stories to tell and you probably don't want to mess with them in their own backyard but I really wonder how much damage they can do to a team on the road even in the playoffs now.

They were deer in the headlights of the Ws Tesla on ludicrous mode. Like a boxer who took a couple blows and just forgot how to box.

For the FOURTH straight day, the Kings had a chance to clinch a top-6 playoff slot. And for the fourth straight day, nothing went the Kings' way, the PeLOLicans blew an 18-point halftime lead to lose by 11, and we are still waiting to clinch the spot. However, the Warriors' win means the Pelicans join the group of teams that can't finish ahead of the Kings, so that's something. And it's not like there's a lot of stress here. Going forward in order for the Kings to be forced to win a play-in game, the Warriors can't lose again (5 games), the Clippers can't lose again (6 games), the T'Wolves can't lose again (6 games), Phoenix has to lose to the Clippers and Minnesota but win all the rest of their games (5 games not included above), and the Kings have to lose out (5 games not included above). That's 27 games that all have to go exactly the right way for us to end up in a 5-way tie for 3rd-7th. Hmm. Who wins that crazy tiebreaker? It looks like we finish 4th in that 5-way head-to-head tiebreaker, but I'm not sure whether they will recalculate after the tiebreaker winner is determined and removed, or just go with the overall head-to-head record. Realistically, it's not going to matter. But the clinching celebration has to wait for tomorrow...again.

and I really dislike them at this point. Steph with his bobble head chewin the mouth piece like a cigar self, “Never fouled a soul” Green, Jordan “either Steph Curry light or the worst NBA player”Poole.

Should be classic "finish the possession" stuff but guys try to cut corners honestly. You should be manning someone until your team has the ball. You're on defense until you're on offense.

I agree but what happens a lot is the ball bounces in the pocket behind the player boxing out and is actually an advantage to the player being boxed out because the ball travels further on 3 point misses.

I find Steph Curry's personality quite off putting. The mouthpiece thing is honestly disrespectful and just kind of gross.

Do you notice in post game interviews our guys are always decent and engaging with the our announcer crew? Steph's demeanor is just... it's like he's just waiting for the interview to be over.

I like our team's culture far better. Our guys make it easy to root for them!

The Warriors have played the majority of their games without Wiggins, who was pretty critical last season, especially in the playoffs. If he comes back for the post season, I’m not feeling great about our chances, but they’d be exciting games for sure. And the potential narrative of Mike Brown eliminating his former team is pretty enticing too.

The instinct to move towards the rim for the rebound is usually a bad idea. It amazes me how many players continue to do this
