Kings Playoff Standings Watch!!!

Towns and Edwards are back. I wonder if Fox will be upgraded to probable LOL no need to rush him back though. Thank God I’m not on the coaching staff, half of our guys would be limping around because every game makes me nervous.

Lakers couldn’t even beat the Bulls with LeLame back from injury AND the refs still helping them. Is it because Austin Reeves had to take a back seat?

Lol at Dallas. Lolololololol
LeBoring James was getting jealous of Autin ReJordeeves and wasn't letting him do his thing of completely dominating the opposing team at the free thow line using the two man game with Adam Silver.

Kings Playoff Tracker

For the second straight day, the Kings had a chance to clinch a top-6 playoff slot, but didn't get the help they needed. No matter, because if my combinatorics are correct, the path for the Kings to miss a top-6 playoff spot is unfathomably narrow. There are 33 relevant games remaining, only ONE of which needs to go the Kings' way for us to light the Playoff Beam. Now, assuming every single one of those games is a 50/50 shot, the chance that the Kings miss the playoffs is 1 in about 8.6 billion. I'm pretty sure we've got this eventually.

Meanwhile the Grizzlies continue to refuse to lose, keeping the #2 slot the less-likely of our two likely landing slots for now.

Note that with a win tomorrow, the Kings will eliminate FOUR teams, and guarantee home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Today's games (3):
MEM def. Hawks
MIN def. GSW

Magic Number To Eliminate (TB=TieBreaker):
DEN (50-24) 14, 8 games remaining, TB 1-1, 1 to play (winner gets TB)
MEM (47-27) 11, 8 games remaining, TB goes to Kings if they win the Pacific Division, otherwise goes to Memphis
SAC (45-29) --, 8 games remaining
PHX (39-35) 3, 8 games remaining, TB goes to team with better division win%
GSW (39-37) 1, 6 games remaining, TB=Warriors
LAC (39-36) 1, 7 games remaining, TB=Kings
--- Playoffs ---
MIN (38-37) 1, 7 games remaining, TB=T'Wolves
NOP (37-37) 1, 8 games remaining, TB=Pelicans

Tomorrow's games (6):
PHX at Jazz, 6 PM
Sixers at DEN, 6:30 PM
NOP at Blazers, 7 PM --> Kings will eliminate the Pelicans with a Blazers win
MIN at SAC, 7 PM --> Kings will eliminate the Wolves, the Pelicans, the Warriors AND the Clippers, securing a top-4 playoff slot with a win
Bulls at LAC, 7:30 PM --> Kings will eliminate the Clippers AND secure a top-6 playoff spot with a Bulls win

Whew, thought I had spoke too soon.
I was confused by your post lol. Since we play the Wolves tomorrow I thought extending the game would be good for us either way. But they were inbounding the ball 3 mins after you posted and I know feeds lag but didn't think they lag that bad.

Minny is a scary team. Tomorrow should be very interesting.
That's one of the interesting elements to the fans wanting to clinch at home tomorrow. 1) the berth will probably clinched in the 3rd quarter. 2) Minny is anything but a sure win.

how ass after all that would it be to lose tomorrow and still celebrate?

You know, sometimes we think certain Kings announcers or commentators or personalities (Carmichael Dave) are homers. Probably we think this because of the clear passion for the Kings that many of these members of the media get swept up in.

Today I would like to submit a hypothesis for peer review that none of these earnest and wholesome folks are anywher near the homers that the Lakers announcers are. Trigger warning: I am about to go off. This takedown is going to be brutal.

We must make a distinction between media members loving a team (but still often voicing fair criticisms - CD comes to mind)... and the completely drug addled ref-fixing-assisting that are the Lakers announcers. There is no comparison.

The Lakers announcers are literally an accessory to a crime because of the shirking of their professional duty to provide commentary on a game that is connected to the reality of that game.

The Great Reckoning can't some soon enough. Have faith and have a blessed Sunday brothers and sisters! Kiss your nonna!
CD is not a homer. He is the morning host of a station whose main claim to fame is home of the Kings. He must follow the Kings no matter what.

Kings next year have a chance to snatch Reid away from Wolves (he's a free agent). He's got the length and strength the Kings need. Sometimes, I just feel like the Kings lack size...so even if they play great D....they still get overwhelmed.

For the record, the Warriors are useless.
I think the Kings would have a really tough time with the Warriors in the first round. We give up a ton of wide open 3s.

I'd much rather the Warriors lose and the Wolves, Pels or Thunder slide into the 6th spot.

Lakers would be a nightmare scenario. The NBA would absolutely screw us out of our first playoff trip in years by making it a 5 on 8 series.

Yeah the 3 teams I don't want are PHX, GSW and LAL. PHX for obvious reasons with a healthy KD and you nailed why GSW and LAL would be bad match-ups for us.

Everyone else though I think we'd have a great chance to move on, especially with HCA. Not to say I don't think we could beat GSW or LAL in a series, but they'd be much tougher

I would love to play the Warriors. They aren’t that good. Brown will know how to defend them. Domas will abuse every big they got
I DON'T want to play the Warriors. They have way too many shooters. If any, or all, of them get hot, it's gonna be a long night, and a very long series.

I'd feel much better, and more confident, if we get a team like the Lakers, or any of the other teams currently fighting for the final few playoff spots in the West. Heck, give me Luka, and I'd feel more confident than I would going up against the Warriors.
