If we are really trading Ron Artest to Denver for Kleiza, Najera and their 1st round pick we'll have a very solid young group next year and really set for the near future...Beno Udrih should be resigned to a new contract and all the expirings we're getting now hopefully will be gone by the end of the season...
I'm accepting the fact Douby will never make it to the Point cuz he likes to shoot and thats what he supposedly does better we should use our 1st round pick on a playmaker, a pass-first and oriented point guard to develop behind Beno Udrih. Salmons has proven he can start and that will surely make Garcia/Kleiza our sparks off-the bench next season and we could use Hawks 2nd round pick on some very young talent to develop overseas. Our weak spot continues to be our starting PF and I don't know if Shelden will live to our expectations so we should use Denvers pick to draft a good player to compliment Hawes.. We should keep Brad til last year of his contract cuz hes really playing at a star level and has one of the best work ethics I've seen on a NBA player. Hawes is only 19 and should have plenty of time to learn til Brad's contract is up and Hawes can take over. Reef and Kenny F. Thomas should continue to warm our bench til the final year of their contract aswell.
Kings 08/09 Roster
Beno Udrih / Kings 1st round pick
Kevin Martin / Francisco Garcia / Quincy Douby
John Salmons / Linas Kleiza / Hawks 2nd round pick
Shelden Williams / Mikki Moore / Nuggets 1st round pick
Brad Miller / Spencer Hawes
Bench warming:
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Kenny Thomas
So, what do you guys think?
