Kings not interested in Wallace(?)

Gerald Wallace has become a very good player, IMHO I still think he still doesn't fit in SacKings style of play. Trade Ron for a good piece.... It's Cisco's time.....

What style of play would that be? We have no style of play. Rookie coach, our third in three years, half a dozen different players each wanting to play the game a different way.

Well I think they are still trying to make the "Princeton Offense" work. Since they drafted a passing big man....

Wallace didn't fit b4.... might still not fit today..... since we are still trying to run the same play.

Well it's just my opinion....

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Now, about this:

The idea that simply acquiring Hawes as our latest roster addition is going to signal a return to the "Princeton" offense always amazes me, as I know it does a lot of other long-time fans.

I really think it's time for people to let go of the whole "Princeton offense" legend. Yes, there is a type of offense known as the Princeton but NO, it doesn't boil down to the simple addition of someone who can pass in the frontcourt.

Reggie Theus did run a Princeton "O" at New Mexico. he will probably implement it here, though expect it to be modified by his assistants.

I did more studying of this Gerald Wallace, and it seems his game has slightly evolved and matured, but more of an individual performer not fit for a 3 or 4 pass offense. I still say he is the epitome of unpredictable hyper athleticism.

He may sign with Dallas, in two years behind the coaching of someone like Avery Johnson I will be eating my words as promised in the Brad Miller thread because He could get a ring with Dirk and Terry. Just not with (possibly no superstar!!!!???) the Kings.

He'll run a fast-paced offense with emphasis on passing to the open man, good ball movement and hopefully some use of our new post player(s). That is, in and of itself, not necessarily the Princeton, which has become a term that's used way too often IMHO.

So I'm guessing you haven't watched him play a lot? His game has evolved and matured by leaps and bounds. He was young and careless here and had little basketball IQ. As he grew in Charlotte, he still tends to be a bit reckless at times, but his court IQ has improved tremendously and he could make a different on some teams. I do not, however, see him returning to the Kings for a variety of reasons. "Unpredictable hyper-athleticism" isn't one of them, nor is it - if I'm understanding you correctly - necessarily a bad thing.

I doubt if Charlotte lets him go. They're actually pretty happy with him.
