Kings looking to trade Jason Thompson

If they are shopping JT just to shop him then I really do not know what is going on up top. If he's part of a deal for a big piece, then sure it makes sense. To throw away the collection of bigs you have because of two smaller guys in Darnell and Landry ... well then I do not get it. Hell, JT is one of the few bigs who works well with Reke on this team since he's adept at crash and board game style.

JT probably spoke up to defend his buddy Donte and coach didn't like it... now PW has both the JT and Donte stuck on the bench behind Jackson, Landry and Daly, head, who are not even under contract past this year....

Westphal is seriously turning this season into a nightmare very quickly.... all the young players the kings fans were excited to see be the new "core", except for tyreke, are stuck on the bench... cousins, JT and Donte are being replaced in the rotation, be players that may not even be in sac in a year... how can the kings community get excited about that?????

the maloofs and petrie need to step in and tell the coach he is killing the good vibes that the city and fans had for this team, by continually disregarding the young players and not developing them.... the worst part is we are still losing with the "vets".... if we were winning with these "vets", that would be one thing, but to lose and see the young players sit is sickening

What I feel right now, is that's really difficult to get the players to buy in to the "team" concept, when they don't even know where they're supposed to fit in from game to game. And it's hard to get the fans to buy in when they can't figure out what exactly is the "team" they are supposed to be rooting for. I know its only a few games, but its a bit depressing to see guys we want to warm up to, being jerked every which way to no perceived benefit for anybody.

I just hope they don't trade him for another mediocre low impact player. Those type of moves are merely treading water at this point. Package him with a few other guys and get someone who's actually going to significantly improve this team, immediately, or just don't bother. I'm sick of these reactionary trades for the sake of trading that don't make the team any better. I'd rather stick it out with the group they have now unless they can pull off a Chris Webber caliber trade.
